Exactly, gamblers don't have time for gaming.

FH, for normal daily use like surfing the net, email, gambling, forums & such you'll never know the difference.

Is that deal at Best Buy just for online purchases?

FH, the ad has "Store Pickup: Check Stores" so I guess it is an in-store deal too.

Laptops and Desktops have become so grossly powerful in the last few years that 80-90% of users don't need any tech past 2006 to notice a real difference in anything.

Short of programmers and video editors a $400 laptop vs. a $1000 laptop to me is just $600 wasted.

Thanks, looks like a helluva deal.

I'm picking up a new 40 inch Samsung 120 HZ LCD tommorrow, so may throw a laptop in the cart as well, as I never have enough computor screens.

Thank you. I thought it was worth chiming in since I have done both of the above and did notice a difference in productivity in a higher priced pc but for gambling and email and such you could still use a pentium 4 with 1 gb of ram and be fine.
