I Made Pizza On a BBQ Grill
I'm talkin' bout buying one of those Boboli pizza shells and then doing everything else fresh and baking that bad boy on a grill. I have now cooked almost everything known to man on a BBQ grill. That's how you gotta roll when you're stuck in an efficiency apartment with no stove. SBR point me if you're impressed & you damn well should be.

Here is one thing I'm sure you haven't cooked on your BBQ grill Mr. Phan, a pot of steam rice.

i've done it. put rice and water (maybe some oil) in aluminum wrap poke one or two holes on top and put it on the edge for like 40 min.

All you posters talking about pizza on the grill can't be from Chicago. No way would anyone from Chicago fvck up a pizza by throwing it on the grill. We have way too many delicious pizza restaurants here to waste time grilling one. Giordano's, Home Run Inn, Palermo's, Vito & Nick's, Villa Rosa, etc. to name a few. Makes no sense grilling one unless you are from a state that has shitty pizza restaurants!

Please tell me you all use a charcoal grill instead of propane, or I'm gonna puke. There is only one way to grill, and it never happens on propane gas.

The frozen Palermo's pizza is not the same Palermo's as the one on 63rd just east of Pulaski or the Palermo's on 95th & Cicero in Oak Lawn. Try a pizza there one day and you'll thank me. The frozen one sold at the grocery store is garbage. Would rather eat a Tombstone than that garbage.

next step up from the grill is the smoker
I mastered the grill years ago and moved on to smoking meat.
the key is to not get to much smoke flavor in the meat. smoke it for the first couple hours with your choice of wood and then just lke the coals cook it
ideal temp 225* for most meats. unless your a pro and make your own rub.
I recommend "Butt Rub" for the rub

smoked a pork shoulder a couple weeks go and it was the best chunk of meat I ever tasted.
took 8 hrs but well worth the wait

I recommend "Butt Rub" for the rub

smoked a pork shoulder a couple weeks go and it was the best chunk of meat I ever tasted.
took 8 hrs but well worth the wait

i have a smoker and use it often

it turns a cheap slab of meat into something mouth watering

I bought a cheap smoker from Wal mart and had to modify it to keep a constant temp. took a while before I got it right but I figured it out.
I have yet to try a boston butt but thats next on the agenda.
