Can a bank refuse a check from a sportsbook? Will they be required to do so after the 270 day grace period?

It is my understanding that the new law will apply to transfers to sportsbooks, not from sportsbooks.

If I get a check from PokerStars, does PokerStars name appear on the check? I think if I can get a cashier's check, then only the bank name appears on the check.

Or were you making the point that the sportsbook is the one who winds up with the money? Or that they never pay out?

in the past I've dealt with cashier's checks...you just have to deposit them at your bank...can't cash them...
