I guess to that I can only think that the NFL does get involved when there are outside legal issues.
But we all know stuff happens on the court, field, pitch, ice, etc that really is above the law. It's not often players sue others for a fight. They don't usually turn into legal issues.
I suppose the practices are somewhere in the middle. Not exactly in game, but still on the field, in the confines of camp.
I wouldn't be surprised if there are fights we don't know about during camp and even preseason. Probably nothing happens for those.
But swinging helmets should be a punishment by the team, but maybe since nobody's skull was crushed they'll let it go.
Team punishment probably not going to be a suspension, it's Donald, but maybe LA fines him. And maybe they only fine him because of optics...becuause it was on video everywhere.
I played football and fights happen all the time in practice, warmups and in the game. I'm merely pointing out the double standard hypocrisy of the NFL and the media. Myles Garrett does it and he's labeled a criminal, vicious brute that should have been put in jail and suspended from the game for life. Aaron Donald does it and the same media clowns laugh it off and say it's part of the game and nothing to see. Some then go as far as saying it was during practice so doesn't count. But those same people said Myles could have killed Rudolph with a well timed/placed hit but completely ignore Donald. Garrett got 6 games over bullshit. Donald won't miss a game.
Note - Terrell Pryor and Jim Tressel both were suspended by the NFL BEFORE they got in the league for Pryor getting free tattoos. WTF? They just said they won't discipline the punter Araiza for forcible rape because it occurred while he was in college. Another double standard that doesn't pass the smell test. I'm still waiting to see how long Robert Kraft is getting suspended for getting blow jobs at Massage Parlors. Shouldn't he be held to a higher standard than Watson??? Fat chance.

There's nothing they can do to Araiza because it's part of the CBA; if he isn't in the NFL, they can't discipline him.

Do you see the stupidity of the NFL? Can they really be serious? Can you seriously agree with that take? What if Araiza killed someone or was a serial killer. They can't discipline him? He's accused of forcibly raping an underaged girl. Is this a joke? or is the NFL punking us?
BTW -there is precedent. Please explain how they could suspend both Terrelle Pryor and Jim Tressel for Pryor getting free tattoos in college?
Also, how could they suspend Josh Gordon for smoking weed while still in college?

He cracked that helmet over that players head with huge force. look at the flex of the helmet and the dust that flew off. But it was practice, so let's turn the other cheek.

Isn’t he in the NFL now? Doesn’t these allegations put a stain on the league? The conduct policy does not mention practice being a safe space.
"Everyone who is part of the league must refrain from “conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in” the NFL. This includes owners, coaches, players, other team employees, game officials, and employees of the league office, NFL Films, NFL Network, or any other NFL business."
