It seems like the fact nothing is leaking favors Toronto, its hard to believe the Lakers could keep anything quiet, Kawhi is a different kind of guy obviously though.

broussard was one of the first to break news that Lebron was going to Miami in 2010 and KD was going to GS in 2016.

Anyone that has to join LeBron is weak. He knows he got lucky in Toronto and doesn’t want that burden. He gets to walk away and look like a saint, while he joins another three headed monster that was put together. The Warriors drafted great, and all KD did was join up with a squad. He didn’t have to recruit, or wait for trades, or any of the bullshit that LeBron teams are built on.

Golden State was built through the draft with smart decisions. They added one guy. He signed in free agency with no drama. He was loyal to OKC, but Russ is a bitch and they botched the situation with Harden. Nothing wrong with his decision. Nothing wrong with Kawhi going home either. Just soft to go to the Lakers, and not the Clippers.

some dude in this thread reported this morning the plane left toronto and landed in CA already. of course we do not know if Kawhi was in that plane or not. but the guy in here reported it as if he has a cam tracking the plane or something

Sixers got Josh Richardson, much better defender than Redick and only slightly worse 3 pt shooter. Losing Butler hurts but his talents not really maximized in Brown's system. If Simmons can improve his range just a little, I'd say they can be just as good as last year.

Yeah I thought 6ers did really well great trade, with butler being a locker room cancer and being a old fart back end of the max contract to get Richardson was sweet

bad news for raptors fans because he says Kawhi is looking for long term contract and i don't think he will stay in Toronto for 5 years.

if it's true he is only looking at 4 or 5 year contracts, then the lakers and clippers have to feel better now.

I'd be surprised if he signs a normal 4-5 year deal with Toronto, but I'm sure the Raptors could give him a 4-5 years deal with the last 2-3 years being player options, so he has the guarantee if he's hurt but isn't locked in.

Still can’t figure out why the hell he wouldn’t wait for the long term deal? Concerns he gets hurt all I can think of.

I’ve heard various theories as to why he waiting, again nobody knows but I heard one that sounded reasonable and would bode well for your clippers. According to whomever it was (I forget) he thinks Leonard only wants to do clippers if they bring in another star so he trying to give west time to make something happen. So if clippers manage to pull some kind of deal to bring someone else in might see Kawhi follow. Made as much sense as anything else to me.
