#9He believed his own press. Once teams watched him in paint on film, you could see he was too small to score on drives. So let him drive then block him. Seems all teams got memo now on how to defendComment -

#10^^^when did that happen because all he mostly did was score in the paint as small as he is he wasnt getting his shot blocked but scoring or drawing fouls. unless his hip isnt ever gonna be ok to play at the highest level then itll just take time he still averaged 15 pts the last 2 seasonsComment -

#11Kings should take a flier on him. Could see him flourishing as a 6th man type of role. Denver not the place for him. He a West coast Cali guy. Denver elevation tough on a guy with hip problems too. Feel for dude. Best player under 6ft to have ever balled in the NBA. QFTComment -

#14His career went into a downward spiral after publicly proclaiming the Celtics were going to need to back up the Brinks truck to pay him... from that moment on Boston began looking to deal him.Comment -

#16Sad story and sad situation, yes. I don't care who you are, but going from a potential Max contract guy to not even being able to get in a rotation will take their toll on anyone.
With that said, the guy is a liability on both ends of the court now. His defense has regressed to a point where you can't give him more than 10 minutes a game. His speed isn't there anymore and he hasn't done anything to differentiate or reinvent himself as a player. He still thinks he's a Max player who can drive into the paint at will.Comment -

#17he's phucking 5'9 it was a matter of time before he fell down to Earth. It's a miracle he even made the league. The tournament is full of 6'3+ guards who will never get paid to play ball.Comment -

#21Feel bad that he didn’t get paid. Hip injuries are career enders. Took down my man Jonny Flynn who actually started his career off strong. Hip injury derailed that. Hopefully Isaiah can budget well. Doesn’t have strip club money like he should have.Comment -

#23Actually his career went downhill when the team he was playing for didn’t disclose to him how badly compromised his hip was and allowed him to play through it. It cost him over 100 million dollars by showing loyalty to his teammates and love for the game.

#25Thomas was emotional because... it's one of those things in life... you knew you were GREAT AT ONE POINT.... and he was making ridiculous shots etc.... but he knows he's not the same anymore because of injury. In fact.... he's basically just good enough to be a back up.
I would be emotional too.Comment -

#26I wouldn’t go that far. His job is to put together the best team that he can and in doing that you sometimes have to make tough unpopular decisions. That having been said, the organization didn’t give IT enough information on his hip to make a better decision on how to handle it.
It is a cold world sometimes and players need to do what is best for themselves long term and stop relying on doctors employed by the team to tell them when they are good to play.Comment -

#32IT didn’t fall back to earth. His drop off is directly related to his injury. He would be the same player he was had he not got hurt. Not sure people realize how good he was. C’s screw him then karma with Hayward.Comment -

#33You would hope that you can trust the team doctor to have your best interest in mind. Shouldn’t have to worry about the doc or team withholding info. Guess it’s safer to get a 2nd opinion, but damn they really fcked him for the sake of business. AD probably wouldn’t go there now because of it. Ainge always sketchy to me. Nice that he wants to win so bad but you can do it the right way. Hope they don’t win another one.Comment
