Big game in St. Louis tonight
    Brewers at Cardinals.

As it stands at this moment Brewers have the first wild card spot trying to hunt down the Cubs for the Division title as they are 1.5 games back (2 in the loss column).

Cardinals at this moment have the second wild card spot 2 games back of the Brewers.
Cardinals have only a 1/2 game lead over the Rockies who are on the outside looking in at this moment.
    Rockies.

Rockies are at home tonight as they face a Philadelphia team that has nothing to play for except spoilers.

Getting back to the Card / Brewer game it's imperative for the Cardinals to win 2 out of 3 (if not sweep) as there are only 5 games remaining on the schedule.

Both teams send out left handed starting pitchers.

Brewers trot out Nationals castoff Gio Gonzalez as the Cardinals start Austin Gomber a converted reliever making his 11th start for the Cards. He sports a 6-1 record with an ordinary 3.63 ERA and a rather high WH/IP of 1.46
    3 walks per nine innings.

Once upon a time Gio won 21 games for the Nationals but that was many many moons ago and in a word is another journey man that's been getting lit up like a Christmas tree in his last seven starts.

    Gio rocks a 9 - 11 record, a piss poor ERA of 4.28 and a WH/IP of 1.47 (also piss poor)

So which left handed hamburger gets it done tonight.
Well, half the starting line up for the Cards tonight have hit left handed pitching hard this year (Gyrko, Martinez, Ozuna, and Jose Martinez) all four are at the top of the line up an should do some damage.

Brewers have one of the best hitters in the game batting against LHP with Lorezno Cain, he's batting a stellar .383 versus southpaws and an incredible .461 OBA and equally incredible OPS of 1.009. Plus Cain knows a thing ore two about pressure games.
Yellich also creams LHP (.300) Aguilar and Perez hits LHP well too.

If it's a bullpen game I trust the Brewers relievers a lot more.

    Brewers win this

    Brewers +102 for 2*

I hear 'ya, it's a must win for St. Louis.
Feeling here is Brews match up well in this spot.
First pitch in 10 minutes, best of luck.

Agulliar and Braun with back to back jacks in the first inning.
                That Aguillar's 34th ding dong.

2-0 Brew Crew early still bottom 1st inning.

Not sure how the Cards are doing it this year. I mean... Austin Gomber? Who the hell is Austin Gomber?

Half the team is a bunch of Austin Gombers.

The pitcher Gio Gonzalez just helped out his own cause with an RBI single scoring Schoop, Lorenzo Cain singled to load the bases, MVP candidate Christian Yelich just crushed a 3 run triple to deep in the gap.

6-0 Brewers, still batting top of the fourth.

Old reliable Molina just belted a three run bomb.
                      6-3 Brews now.
                      The over has already cashed.

Looks good, still have to play nine innings, only big time sport without a clock.

Pina's RBI single for the Brewers makes it 7-3.
Tyson Ross in relief was awful, the Cards have such a leaky pen.

I bought a futures ticket on the Brewers just to make the playoffs at 8 to 1 in March.

Head scratcher, I don't think Gio tweaked anything, he only had 69 pitches.
Brews have the better bullpen but Cedeno comes in, gives up a single.
Here comes Tyson Williams, OMG hide the children and women, this could wind up an ugly 11-9 game.

It's imperative for the Cards bullpen to blank the Brews from here on out.
Rox just got 3 in the third, 3 in the fourth, all of a sudden they are getting quality pitching.
Rox 6 Phils 1 midway through that game.

Cards could be on the outside looking in tomorrow.

Braun with his second big fly of the game to give me breathing room.
