Then users roll over to Fanduel or somewhere else. I know they still have fantasy. But are they getting into other things? Their sportsbook will either fail or forever drag them down. Maybe they'll get bought out if a big media co. decides they want to have a sportsbook.

i totally respect your opinions when it comes to sportsbetting... you have to be about the smartest person here in that regard... i grind some profits but you're on another level

i think with that backdrop you totally overestimate the intelligence of the average sports bettor, they are mostly losers that like to throw $50 or $100 on whatever homer play they like

those types of people don't switch very easily, or care to even check odds... i'm in the minority, you're in the super minority... a few weeks ago i went to chicago for 2 days and made 4k, mostly off of signup promos everywhere... the barstool one is ridiculous right now, they not only give you the 1000 back IN CASH if you lose, they give you another 500 no matter what, if you deposit in cash at aurora

if China is indeed re-opening fully, which it appears they might be, low float China stonks could really run hard, they’ve already been cutting rates to stim the economy and this cld be the boost they needed..might want to wait for more follow through into next week though

Sure I grew up near Homestead Florida and I do like to race anything with a motor, but I haven't tried to bang my sister yet, so I guess I am evolving out of the redneck ways. Is this market going to shake off all the bad news and just go up in defiance? yeah it seems like that, but in the end I see it coming crashing back down. I know typically going into a mixed congress the markets feel more certain, but I just can't shake the feeling of fundamentals coming to the table one of these days. Then again maybe I'm a sore loser this week. Took a pretty good beating but there is always next week.

OK elections are over and it is probably a matter of a few days before we realize that the balance of power will remain the same. The biggest surprise will be the House of Representatives might just stay in Nancy's hands, and if it does, that will hold off any accountability measures next spring.
On the market side, as soon as it becomes a reality that the power will be in Democratic hands still and not a mixed bag, a sell off will occur. For the mean time its bullish behavior.
Speaking o bullish behavior, how about that gold? Could it be all those months of me just buying gold as it went down like a soccer mom working a side gig to buy baby formula is finally about to pay off? Maybe, GLD is knocking up against the 100DMA with further large resistance at $161.40. We'll see if the gold can make a break out of this spot to set its eyes on higher levels.

Uranium at a really good buy point imo so I added more CCJ/Cameco, already long on UUUU

for natural gas EQT
for oil, the explorers are really starting to gain steam so I’d look at WTI, RIG and CPG for broad exposure
not fond of coal but BTU looks interesting since Milwaukee Mike mentioned it…

OK for several reason the yellow dotted line shown with the arrow and #1, is an important line in the sand. Depending on what happens tomorrow the SPY can find itself down by the other yellow arrow sometime tomorrow and it may have a look of falling apart. I'll call it $367.50.
Today we had a gap down then a run back up to the 20 period moving average on the 10 minute chart, but couldn't get above it so this is where I shorted the market and now enjoying the ride down. At the open tomorrow if it is a big gap down day, I will be looking to sell todays PUTS and go long at the $367.50 spot. This spot should give a reaction to the market and it may be a spring board to launch back up to the $380 spot for a round trip.
But Slurry what if you're wrong and it just plows through with only a minor pause? In that case I sell those calls when 10 minute candles below $365 start to happen.
Of course there is a possibility that the market doesn't come back to test this spot and just takes off from today's close. In which case, I'll sell the PUTS and get some calls looking to exit at $382ish when the next resistance level is met.
If the market is down and the $367.50 doesn't hold, I think we see $340 sooner than later.

Well we got a light cpi number now broad market blast off I haven’t seen since March 2020. We aren’t even close to flipping Resistance to support so likely just a sell the rip unless we see some slow grinding follow through tomorrow. If Jpow has orchestrated a soft landing I will be floored, still haven’t eased any of the geopolitical issues hurting supply so I am inclined to think this is just the first hurdle and we need a few more light prints

Inflation comes down 1/2% on a yearly basis and the market takes off like a rocket. Irrational exuberance is in play for sure. My buying spot will have to wait, and I did take a loss on those PUTS from the large gap this morning. Today was a spectator event for me.

After this mornings initial rush, there is a good chance I'll be looking to short the IWM as it is now bumping up to the 200 DMA at $186.50 with further resistance at $190 which happens to be the 50 WMA. I'll step in for a half a position after the morning rush, and if the rise continues into the weekend, and it probably will, I'll be looking to add going into the close.
