Trump denies referring to 's***hole countries' as he is accused of trying to 'make America white again'

Donald Trump’s controversial comments about African and Haitian immigrants coming from “s***hole countries” have landed him in yet more hot water.
Congressional Black Caucus leader Cedric Richmond said that Trump’s comments – made during negotiations with lawmakers at the Oval Office on Thursday – are “proof” that his Make America Great Again slogan really means “Make America White Again”.


Richmond said in a statement: “President Trump’s comments are yet another confirmation of his racially insensitive and ignorant views. It also reinforces the concerns that we hear every day, that the President’s slogan Make America Great Again is really code for Make America White Again.
“Unfortunately, there is no reason to believe that we can negotiate in good faith with a person who holds such vile and reprehensible beliefs.”
During a discussion on protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries, sources told The Washington Post that Trump had said: “Why are we having all these people from s***hole countries come here?”
He suggested that Norwegian immigrants would be a more appealing prospect, following his meeting the previous day with the Scandinavian country’s PM.
