It is always hard to understand why mentally ill people do what they do. Many are paranoid schizophrenics that cannot differentiate fantasy from reality. Many elderly people suffer dementia and depression on top of paranoia. Many have anxiety and PTSD. You don't have to be in the military to suffer from PTSD.
The plain truth that we all have to come to terms with is that ALL these mass shootings are the result of mental illness. 1 out of every 5 people in the US will suffer a mental episode in the next few months. Put a gun in these people's hands and you have a powder keg. We keep trying to figure out why but nothing makes sense for the mentally ill. Gun control is a hot topic but it has to be solved because too many ill people have access to them.Comment -
Maybe this shooter was trying to make an anti gun political statement to finally get the big push to ban guns in America and fooled us all? That's something to think about just because of the sheer number of guns he had on display.. His target was a Country Western Concert that was all white American country folk which is strange..
It's a long shot but I'm starting to think this guy had a master plan and was calculated. He had money, people liked him, an accountant and investor, kinda normal, gambled and was decent at that, went on social cruises, had a girl friend, no enemies.... His own brother and neighbors said he was normal and likeable too, no signs of any affiliations... Sent his own mother a walker before hand.. Hmmm? Something seems very fishy and out of the norm here...
