I like the Giants at -3. Stafford is good at home against average and below average teams but he has struggled on the road against good defenses, going 1-26 on grass against teams with winning records. This game is the Giants season with the next 2 games on the road and Manning has played his best at home and in big games. The Lions leading running back had just 30 yards last week, and I don't think Stafford can carry this team on the road against a good defensive line. The Lions defense was solid week 1 against Arizona Johnson went out early, but the Lions weakness last year was pass rush and the Giants should have an easier time this week at home.

A spokesperson for the Meadowlands, who operates MetLife Stadium, said that the new turf is known as ‘UBU Speed S5-M.’ The product has been used in places such as Paul Brown Stadium and Aloha Stadium among other college and NFL venues.

Lol, my point is that Stafford tends to struggle outside in stadiums with tougher conditions. He has also struggled against better teams, and I still think this Giants team is a 9 win team if Beckham stays healthy.

I said that I think that stat shows Stafford is not the same quarterback outside of a dome or against good teams, playing on grass is just 1 part of that stat. I did not say anything about the conditions.

I'm taking giants at -3. Im thinking that due to nyg having poor game last week (similar to ne) they spent all week adjusting things on both sides of the ball to make sure that don't happen this week at home. Plus I generally thing manning an odb both play better at home compared to on the road.

Because the stat shows to me he's not the same quarterback outside of the dome and on the road. The turf they play on is in my opinion only part of the reason he's the same quarterbacks on grass or on the road.
