Strange that you all think KC should be favored. I had Miami -3.5 when I made my lines out.
Here is a recap of KC's season, showing why they are one of the three most overrated teams in the NFL:

They blew out a Jets team, which has since been proven to be mediocre at best, on the strength of 43 Jets turnovers.
They edged Oakland, in a game they were outgained and won because of a phantom pass interference call, and Oakland's ineptness.
They went to Denver and got humiliated by a slightly above average team, 30-10.
They had Philly at home, and blew a 17-0 lead, losing 37-31.
They were outgained by 150 yards by the Redskins at home in a 28-21 win.

Miami is 2-0 ATS at home, covering by 28.5 and 6.5 points in outright upset wins. Kansas City is lucky to be 1-1 SU and ATS on the road. Now, they are traveling on gameday (first time a team has done that in NFL history), and will not be ready to play this game, especially with a divisional showdown in San Diego next week.
