#50Tell me again why you haven't gone pro yet? Most of the excuses I hear is that there is no benefit, Why would anyone pay $100 to be called "pro" on the internet
In the last 1 year, I have redeemed about $800 worth of points for donations and Amazon gift cards
For anyone that checks in each day, you're doing yourself an injustice by not going pro, assuming you can afford it. If not, thats understandable. But I've never seen anyone admit that, just excuses of how its not worth it.
Last I checked, $800>$100...
I'll easily go over $1,000 in points redemeptions this year

#51If you live in the US and can afford 100 bucks it makes sense to go PRO. I understand why some people don't, but for me it's a no-brainer. I only think slightly less of non pros.Comment -

#52My donation application was denied. F em. If you are only going to limit donation contributions to two charities, when there are literally millions of them - eh forget about it. The pro status isn't enough to jump thru hoops. If someone else's $100 contribution is more relevant than my $500 to SBR, then penetrate SBR. I don't want to be associated with people that can't understand basic math anyway. It's beneath me.Comment -

#53i'll re-up my sbr pro if I can deposit at a book and have a chance to win it back like when I first went pro.
or i'll just wait and hit 3k points I've done it a few times in the last year but didn't cash out and lost it.
I find better uses for 100 bucks thats 2 AAA xbox one titles or a trip to fogo de chao

#55Content > Status
A pro with 200 posts isn't more valuable than a long time nonpro who has 1000posts. Too many people act like it's a fraternity when it's just a thing that costs $100. It does make sense for a contest or poker player to become one.Comment -

#56A pro that isn't cashing out points for gift cards is a bigger loser than a non-pro
The only reason a pro wouldn't be taking advantage of converting points to gift cards is because they're not winning
To each their own, I like the easy free money

#60Well the problem is you will lose most of that once you go pro . That is why if you are a good capper and save points you can get your money back and then some. I have blown a TON in the casino. But i STILL have had enough to cash out $200 worth of gift cards. So i came out ahead despite having a bad year losing it all in casino.
But lets say you go Pro and have that 14000 points. Now it just depends on what you desire . WAY more to choose from as a Pro. I like free Gift cards to take my wife and Nieces out. And i have. Here is what i would get with 14000 points from a $100 donation.
4 RED ROBIN GIFT CARDS ($100 TOTAL)
4 BURGER KING ($100 TOTAL)
1 APPLEBEES ($100 TOTAL )
1 OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE ($100 TOTAL)
1 OLIVE GARDEN (I BELIEVE YOU CAN ALSO GO TO LONGHORN WITH THIS ONE TOO -$100 VALUE)
So- right there you have gotten back $500 worth of cards .And the total of these are 13,730 points. So you STILL even have points left over to mess around with or maybe buy a nice Tommy Bahama shirt!!! Just whatever you do if you hit big or just save your points do NOT lose them in the damn casino where i have lost thousands.Comment -

But You're post is a perfect example of what someone can do by being pro, that's $500 in gift cards which is a nice little xmas present for most of us. So by not being pro and holding on to those points, it's the equivalent of losing roughly $400.
Renegades you could go pro for $100, you'll lose all by 3000 points, then instsantly cash those in for a $100 Amazon GC and you've already broke even

But it is not like there is not a good selection of Gift cards in the Store. SBRs store is really amazing in my eyes and VERY reasonable. Not anywhere near impossible to get. I think the Red Robin one is a really great deal. 490 points for a $25 card at a nice sit down restaurant. I think i had gotten $100 of that . You print up the gift card online and take it in. We showed it to the waitress (It was myself ,my wife ,and my niece Dana who works for me ) . No problem whatsoever and i did not pay a cent. Well-except the tip. They write the remaining amount on the paper and the next time my wife and i went in we used the rest of it. If any of you have a Red Robin near you i HIGHLY suggest getting a couple of them here if you can . And oh yum they also have endless root beer floats there at least the one we went to did. Who has that ? Really good.Comment -

#66Being pro for me was tight with SB fp when I was a broke student, now it's just not worth my time, what is the max wager for betpoints anyway? Let say you make $2k week from your daily job, is it worth your time to hit 60-65% betting betpoints?...and that's an optimistic percentage in the long term...I just can't justify it, I can hardy justify usd...no doubt it was tight and if I had a minimum wage job you could bet your ass I'd still be grinding for gift cards...it's really a question of how much your time is worthComment -

But you would still get the trivia and the contests. They do not take that long and can build them up and just take a shot . So just pretty much doing nothing you will come out ahead but if you get hot on a few picks after building up FP points too you can end up with way more.Comment -
