#72I'm not sure I understand the two bolded statements above.Originally posted by NrmlCurvSurfrBeing pro for me was tight with SB fp when I was a broke student, now it's just not worth my time, what is the max wager for betpoints anyway? Let say you make $2k week from your daily job, is it worth your time to hit 60-65% betting betpoints?...and that's an optimistic percentage in the long term...I just can't justify it, I can hardy justify usd...no doubt it was tight and if I had a minimum wage job you could bet your ass I'd still be grinding for gift cards...it's really a question of how much your time is worth
If you don't bet for real money, then no, spending time capping games to hit 60-65% just for betpoints is not worth it. If you bet for real money though then you might as well bet for points too as it takes virtually no time at all to place the bet, and then it's totally worth being pro here.
Like someone else said too, you don't even have to bet anything but just login and take the daily points in order to make a profit.
I understand your point though, that it might not be worth it for just a couple of $100, but if the option is to mess around here for free or get a couple of hundos out of it I might as well take the "free" money
.

#78I guess it depends on how often someone comes in here. I look every day pretty much. If you are going to do that as a Pro you get double the points and no matter what at the very least if you have the absolute worst betting year of your life you STILL double your $100 .Originally posted by juicernameI'm not sure I understand the two bolded statements above.

But really honestly that would be next to impossible with the trivia and stuff like that. Getting even a 60 Pt FP here and there is not that hard. Build them up a bit then take a shot you will have several shots just with that through the year.Comment -

#79captrobey i thought you can only keep 3k points no matter how high you are
before going PRO. so for example all my points over 3k are worthless.
maybe i will do this sometime but i just never bothered because i don't like
flubbing with gift cards, don't like restaurants and dominos don't deliver.

#81Yes that is true i am just saying if he was a Pro and had got the points that is what he could have got. It is just that you are wasting all those points . You do have enough to use points to go pro i think. You should still keep the 673 over that i think. If you do not like gift cards though i could see why it may not be worth it for you. But if you eat out from time to time like we do it is basically free food.Originally posted by Snowballcaptrobey i thought you can only keep 3k points no matter how high you are

#83Home Depot is 3200 for $100 not sure how long they last. If you convert your points to be a pro and just log in every day not doing anything you would have enough for at least a $100 card for HD without really doing anything different then you are now assuming you log in every day. If you use the points you have not even spent your own cash . I know $100 is nothing to jump up and down about but hey for really doing nothing extra maybe it is worth it .Originally posted by SnowballI never eat out at chains.

#85captrobey if the Home Depot cards are good for at least 3 years
will do it. Then I will buy a lot off the Alaskan Railroad and the
freight train will carry my 20k worth of Home Depot materials
on location where I will build the SBR bug-out compound.
No, it won't be a log cabin.

#92checking in as a "non-pro" for one last time. I don't know if it was the salesman (the same man who hit the I believe button on HRC for pres.) , the repetitive pitch of squeezing my arm, or just the timing, but going pro this year. Not much of a casino or contest player, but can maintain track of points racked up during the year for record keeping to inform any other non-pros at end of the year if it's worth it. Donation to charity (the kind which entails an organization that helps the less unfortunate and not my ex-stripper girlfriend) already mailed in.Comment -

#94I'm thinking about it but I don't go to sports web sights to win a gift card. 5 or 6 years ago I signed up for a sportsbook and then they turned me down in becoming a pro. So I said penetrate them and don't miss mcdonalds, Winkeys, or Pizza. I never even thought of being a PRO. What does it mean?Comment -

#96Ok...perhaps I'm sold...where Do you find this info?Originally posted by captrobeyYes but even if you did not bet and just logged in and got your points that alone is over 4000 points a year. As a pro you get the trivia twice a week that adds up too plus all the contests . BTP has a great chance to pick up points that time of year. Plus you get points for xmas and your bday. Even not really doing anything and just saving points is enough to get a $100 outback gift card or if you like Red Robin that would be $200 of gift cards. Or Burger King or Subway $200 . And that is not using your normal points on a single game.
But you would still get the trivia and the contests. They do not take that long and can build them up and just take a shot . So just pretty much doing nothing you will come out ahead but if you get hot on a few picks after building up FP points too you can end up with way more.Comment -
