In an effort to give back to the SBR community that has given me so much, I am going to be posting what has and hasn't worked for me. So let's jump right into it.
What you want to do is be flattering, and harmless when feeling out a woman's situation. If she says she has a boyfriend and/or isn't interested you IMMEDIATELY back down ASSUMING he's cool and is taking good care of her. If either of those things aren't true do what you want. I can tell you though, from experience, if you take a dude's girl he will do anything to get even with you - and that can get annoying.
Lines that are going well for me -
"You look really nice today". Sure it's something a sophomore in highs school might say to the Prom Queen but it is harmless and gets them to smile. I've used this on two of them recently - both went well. One as a result undressed me with her eyes and was very sweet. I thought I had a chance so I said "I'd go further into detail but I don't want you to think I'm obnoxious in Target (but I said Tarjet like in the funny commercials and she giggled). I then had to have her void something out for me and I said "are you voiding out me or the product?" That was legit funny and she chuckled. I look forward to seeing her again. Another one smiled big and made sure I heard her say have a good day, when I was leaving and talking to someone else.
"I really like what you're doing with your hair there". I used this on a very attractive bank teller today. She had very cool hair - some very subtle red hair dye which is perfect on her. She smiled and said thank you.
To a couple of college girls "Can you tel me where the mascara is? I have a huge rack at 4 in the morning". They at first were like "no" then when I told them I was joking they burst out laughing and were laughing until they left the store. They loved it.
At the bank today there was a model hot babe sitting across from me, she walked in just after me and we were both waiting for the account executive. It became my turn and I asked her if she wanted to go first. She declined and I said "I did that because you're good looking". She blushed and giggled.
At CVS today I spoke to this blonde that helped me find my wallet prior. She's very cool and is becoming a buddy. We were talking about when I lost my wallet today and I said "sometimes I lose my wallet, my cash, my soul - you know how it goes". She thought that was funny - because it was. I did ask her if she's single and she said no, s o I told her he's a lucky guy. She thanked me, quite sincerely.
So fellas, it's aggressive - but never threatening and only obnoxious if you're talking to that type of girl. Funny/witty is good but ALWAYS be respectful. Guys who are disrespectful and girls see right through that, it's usually the result of being ugly, boring, etc. and it's stupid. Don't be cheesy. Take care of yourself, and look good.
There was a girl I offered beer to that didn't take me up on that but showed up out of nowhere and gave me a desk.
See if word gets out with the cool girls that you're cool and nice the taken ones will push eligible friends to you, like they do me.
In the end they just want to be happy, and so do you.
So, make them happy and they will do the same in return.
