It is not so much overrated as it is depleted. Mets would have been one team nobody wanted to face if they had their full starting rotation, which is the best in baseball from 1 to 5 when healthy. Instead they have Synergaard (who has had some issues himself) and a bunch of nobodies other than the 64-year-old Colon, who would not even be in the post-season rotation if the others were healthy.
