#46Let's just enjoy the match. Not everyone abides by traditional bankroll management recommendations, and do-so at their own risk. He obv wanted to take a shot and did...I'm sure he's been here long enough to be aware of the recommendationsComment -

But first, about what you said.
Basing bet size on percent chance of winning leads to progressive betting and is costly. Kelly may have one a Nobel prize, but it doesn't work for sports betting. Neither does betting a set percentage of current bankroll. Jiggling bet size is expensive.
My point was that $5500 could be 1% or 2% of one's starting bankroll. If that's the case, and the bet is justified, then it's wholly normal. There are many that have made much larger bets in this tournament.
By asking "is that large?" I wasn't condescending, although I see how it could sound, I was merely making the above point.
I tend to preach a bit of money management on the forum and your question implied either knowledge of Flip's bankroll or that you may not understand something. Since Flip probably isn't a multi millionaire, I suppose it could have been both.

#58F bank roll management I won over 100k last year in 2 weeks with no management so this guy took a risk even if it's a all in he did it. Most of yall wouldn't have the balls to do it especially on a plus 225Comment -

Besides I kind of like the idea of Tony doubling his points and coming up a bit as opposed to the whole 2 points a day thing over a 50 point bet.
Just feels better all around.
