I don't think they will get a thing for Haywood. He only played 22 games all year and is old and beat up as anyone in the league. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires when they do not execute his option.

That would be highway robbery on the Cavs part & the league would try to block it

When is his contract up?? Its a steal but you can never give this guy a max deal based on Injuries
But somebody will, and it will be the Cavs.

He is already signed through 2019-20 at 5yr/90mill. The max deal they were allowed to give him under the current CBA. I believe it is called the Derrick Rose rule.

Cavs are gonna regret that signing since Irving is D Rose 2.0 with all his lower body injuries

Irving gives you a bit more off the dribble and playmaking ability but defensively the numbers are bad when he is on the floor.

Game 2 Cavs focused more on playing high-pressure trapping defense and playing less all-out run and gun type of game which favors the Warriors.

That's not how it works. Some teams will want to free their cap space, so they would trade for Haywood's contract and waive him.

There's no doubt Irving is probably the best getting to the rim player in the NBA and as unreel offense of skills but the big question is can he stay healthy?

If the Chicago Bulls had him instead of Rose they would be in the NBA finals
