Cavs are not better without a healthy Kyrie. We are, however, a way better defensive team without Love. Tristan Thompson is a defensive star... look at what he has done on Paul Millsap. Millsap is 5 for 19 for 17 points, 1 block, and 12 total rebounds in the 2 games. Thompson is 7 for 13 for 21 points, he has 10 OFFENSIVE rebounds (26 total) and 4 blocks in the 2 games. This is why Cleveland has dominated. Cant wait for the matchup of him vrs Draymond Green.

One of the problems with Irving, and don't get me wrong the guy is a great player, is that a lot of his offense appears to come from isolations and he is not nearly as proficient a playmaker as lebron. A team can have a hard time trying to survive with two or more isolation guys using a ton of possessions. Sometimes one or both guys are hot and it looks good, but some nights they are going to collectively hit under 35% of their shots. The reason the Cavs won last night was solid defense and doing a slightly better job than the warriors not turning the ball over.

Dellavadova played very good defense on Curry from what I saw. He is quick enough to stay with him on the dribble and by preventing the guy from taking wide open threes we see, as with many shooters, how tough it can be to make contested threes in this league.

They should trade that Haywood expiring contract for a good player. Can't rely on Love and Irving. They are too fragile. I think Love and Irving have been injured every year.

5 Year $90 million extension that comes into effect next season. Still a ton of money of money for a 23 year old who already has a history of lower body injuries that could limit his upside.
