This hacking thing is a pretty big reason why. I'm not even watching, but seeing updates about the game and that Jordan has 26 FTAs in the 1H. Yeah, what a great sport.

I mean why is it even legal to do this? It's not like this is a new thing either.

FTs should be banned from the game. They should have power plays like hockey. 5 against 4 when someone fouls after 5 fouls.

              I'd be fine with this

Get rid of half of the timeouts as well

Terrible flow to a basketball game

Oh, gotta stop, ball is out of bounds. Inbounds play, gotta stop, there's a foul. Guy makes both, gotta stop, other team calls timeout. Run one play, TV timeout. Another foul. Kick ball.

              So annoying

Because the product they were showing on TV was awful because of it (Along with a certain HOF'er taking a hiatus at the time). Games were low scoring with physicality ruling over athleticism. I compare this rule to the same one 2 decades ago. Your casual fan does not want to see a free throw shooting contest between DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howard. If ratings drop, so do advertisers. College basketball doesn't have this rule, so we know the game can survive without it. Silver has shown that he is not afraid to nip potential problems in the bud. I think he will act on this rule pretty quickly.

I long for the good ol' days when a free throw was actually"free", but those days are gone, and Silver will probably adapt to it.

I have talked about this in several threads for several weeks now. I'm a Rockets fan, and I'm sickened by this product. If anything, it's taken the Rockets out of their rhythm worse than it has the Clippers.

Houston has looked flat all series, but they are really flat now. When a coach has you fouling the team's other player over and over again, it shows a lack of confidence in your skills. Looking at the body language of the players, if McHale had the ears of his players before, he has definitely lost them now. The real sad thing about all of this is at least Houston was tied with the Clippers when they were hacking Jordan. When they stopped doing it, the Clippers pulled away.
