Why does JJ even post here? He makes comments without even knowing any facts. I work in the golf industry here on the east coast and one of my assistant pros drives for them during the winter months. Here in Philly they have Uber Black Car (a limo type service) or UberX (where you can use your own newer model nice car). He has a Mercedes C300 so drives for them. Uber takes 20% of the fare, you get the rest. He works probably 15-20 hours a week and makes appx. 300-400 a week. You are responsible for taxes at the end of the year. I'm assuming deductions for car wear and tear can lessen your tax burdenComment -

I use it to go to bars, but I even use it to take my girl to dinner. I pick nice cars so it's a nice ride, then I don't have to worry about having more than 2 drinks. DUI's in Michigan are about $8k & lots of hassle, no thanks.Comment -
In some bigger cities cabs are easier to take than cars even if you have a car. I have owned a car since I was 16 but living in Chicago and working in the loop - i never ever drove - too expensive/inconvenient to park - cabs cheaper and easier when other public transportation (buses or el train) wasn't an option.

if your unemployed but can find a way to get a tahoe suv, i highly recommend driving for them. you can easily make 1k or more weekly driving for uber. i know a couple guys that leave their service on from 10am-3am daily and they are clearing over 2k weekly.Comment -
