I've never had an uber or taxi driver pick m up from my house. I have only taken them home when drunk.

Being that I am drunk all the time for work I used to use cabs like crazy .. Now I just use uber and love it and its much cheaper

Why does JJ even post here? He makes comments without even knowing any facts. I work in the golf industry here on the east coast and one of my assistant pros drives for them during the winter months. Here in Philly they have Uber Black Car (a limo type service) or UberX (where you can use your own newer model nice car). He has a Mercedes C300 so drives for them. Uber takes 20% of the fare, you get the rest. He works probably 15-20 hours a week and makes appx. 300-400 a week. You are responsible for taxes at the end of the year. I'm assuming deductions for car wear and tear can lessen your tax burden

So he averages around $23/hr before gas + wear & tear? Sounds like a horrible deal.
