No More Storming the court in College Basketball

TCU beating Kansas last year was a legit court storming because it was an 0-11 team winning its first ever Big 12 game over the #5 ranked team and one of the most storied programs in college hoops. But I agree its stupid when a decent unranked team beats the #25 team and they rush the floor. Rushing the floor should be reserved for huge upsets.

i was at the south carolina game when they beat john wall, cousins, etc. and undefeated uk

that rule was in place....still stormed the court...school paid the fine

might be a deterrent but really court storming is based on an unpredictable situation so people just react in most cases and that won't stop them completely

My high school finally put a stop to it the year after I graduated.

They are already videoing the game, so, as a student, if they find footage with your foot on the turf, its an automatic one week suspension.

It's mainly students that rush the court, so this works pretty well as a deterrent.

Same thing when a party gets busted though, there's 8 officers and 500+ students.... if the 500+ all commit to doing something... a handful of people aren't going to be able to stop them.

They should have sprinkler systems installed at the edges of the courts with pepper spray instead of water. Attach these to motion detectors that dont get activated until time runs out on the game clock.
