This is still the defending champs we are talking about here. I know Lebron is such a huge part of their team but if they have the other pieces in play tonight, they can still win this game.

Giving these kind of points to the Heat can never be a smart move.

Historically that is what happens with Portland at home but it's Heat or nothing for me.

Ridiculous ML value in the heat at +190.

I had an easy parlay of moneylines (UCLA at -550) and Portland at (-320) - worst beat of my career. I'm upset with the loss but I dont question the methodology. Hardly anyone wins in Portland, let alone on the 2nd of a back-back with their best player hurt. Makes me hate gambling to be honest lol.

I had it one parlay but can't say its one of the worst beats. They were just 2 points down, I figured they would go for OT

Yeah, I mean to me it was a fluke game although Portland has been playing way too close of games lately given what their record is. I knew they wouldnt cover the spread, but I figured they'd at least win. From my experience so far, betting MLs on college games is way easier. If you can ML's on college games, bet them. I know nobody wants to bet $55 to win $10 (like the UCLA game was), but it really is as close to free money as possible. I just got caught getting greedy instead of taking the sure fire small amount. I play at bovada and its rare for them to give ML's on college games with that high of spread (UCLA was favored by 9.5 i think). I should have just taken the easy thing rather than chase something slightly less easy (although who really believed Portland would lose tonight...certainly not me and it was actually taken off the board for a while at bovada once Lebron was deemed out).

2 things, get out of Bovada and don't bet big ML favorites unless it is just for fun. Parlays might seem like sure things sometimes but nothing is sure in gambling.
Its not uncommon to see 10 point favorites losing in college ball, NBA is even worse

If this game was the worse beat of anyone's career how long has this "career" been? 2 days? Anyway if you bet a -320 ml and the game comes down to the last few possessions you deserve to lose.

That said I suppose you're just venting, we've all been there, I have a "worst beat ever" every few days if you believe what I say on emotion just after - when the dust settles tomorrow you'll probbaly realise this was just another loss.

                                                        No idea how Miami won

Bosh played his best game as a Heat

                                                        Its the NBA

If losing on a last second shot is the worst beat you've ever taken then u obviously haven't been around long & if you continue betting betting $55 to win $10 on 9 point favs you're not gonna be round much longer either.
UCLA was as close to free money as you can get?? WTF, the game was tied with 40 sec to play!!

When I say worse beat - i mean most heartbreaking or anger inducing. I've bet on things that have went completely opposite before, but in terms of feeling the disappointment it was definitely there. And i've only been gambling since October. The Bruins played bad but i never felt they were going to lose in Pauley against a terrible Alabama team. NBA is different as anything can happen. The reason why I like betting moneyline favorites instead of points is because i've lost a couple times by betting a favorite to cover at -3, and they only win by 2. After having that happen to me - i says i'll never be in the position again. I'm either betting moneyline favorites, or point dogs.
