Admittedly, got greedy on the Lakers total and got burned I pretty much knew it was dead money at the half, but things actually slowed down in the third quarter and got back on pace. Of course they come out in the fourth and score like 40 points in 2 minutes lol

Yeah for sure, I've always got my mind set for the long grind, but goddamn the short term frustrations suck. NBA is insane. Can't wait till college hoops. By far my favorite sport.

Yeah pretty much, although it could have been better. My first season posting on this forum was the 2011-2012 season. I had an amazing run and was up literally like 80-100 units, and they were good solid units, all steady grinding. Then about halfway through the season a perfect storm of circumstances led to me giving a lot of it back. First, some random punkass started trolling me really hard. It seems so stupid looking back on it, but at the time it was my first time being part of an internet forum and I really didn't understand the culture. Like an idiot, I actually took this guy seriously and went on tilt trying to win huge bets to shut him up (you can guess how that turned out). At the same time, this tout named Pairof5s saw how good I was doing and started posting in my thread, challenging me to handicapping contests and shit like that. Again, I was a naive dumbass new to the forum, so I engaged him at first, and then when I finally came around to the obvious conclusion that he was just using me to generate attention to his bullshit tout service, I went on even more tilt. Then finally, the last thing wasn't really a bad thing for me lifewise, but was bad for my sports betting. I had passed the bar exam and began working as a lawyer, so I was a young guy making really good money. It led to me being a lot more reckless with my betting. I basically threw away everything that had worked for me in the past and was just throwing darts. In the 2012-2013 season, I had modest results, I think I ended up up a few units but it was a rollercoaster and eventually I lost interest in maintaining the thread and let it die, although I contributed to other threads from time to time.

Thanks man, no real scientific reason, I was just looking at the game and really thought Rose and company would come out strong but didn't trust them full game against this 76ers team that has already exceeded expectations. Figured betting 1st half would be a good way to test that theory. Also, kind of just an emotional decision, a lot of these early NBA games have really changed character in the second half and I've gotten burned betting the full game where the bet looks great at the half and then tanks. Luckily it worked out.

No doubt man. No offense obviously but yeah I've definitely seen your tilts. Without them, I think you're one of the best NCAAB cappers on SBR rivaling the youngbuck,sonny crew. I'll be on here for sure, no problem. We both just have to learn to accept the losses. Live to fight another day. Always.
