Why is everyone overthinking this game? Cardinals in post season = manning in reg season.. Just bet on em ML and enjoy the profits

Public what?
Public was on the Cards in Games 1 and 2 both.
Line is right where it should be and not inflated because of what happened in Game 1.

Honestly, if you wanted to take Pirates wouldn't FF be so much more worth it?...Cards bullpen is lights out, and you gotta figure if Pitt will have any chance they need to get to Lynn early..I can see Cards stealing this game in a close one late

if you have watched me bet cards gms over the years it very rare that i like them unless the line gets beat down by wanna be sharps..much better than when the line jumps even higher from open..

Hard to say -- Cole's been better recently, but he had a penchant for really struggling out of the gates early when he first came up.

I don't really see an angle on this game. Lynn is Lynn -- he's either dominant or tends to struggle. Cards always hit for him. He's a beast vs. righties and scuffles vs. lefties.
OTOH, How do you know what you're going to get from Cole in his first postseason start?
I'd find it hard to bet on this game period, let alone make it a big play. But whatever.

yes,,generally if lynn struggles it is early and yea if that the case expect cards to keep grinding cole down and come back later on..if pit doesnt win ff they not winning gm..

im betting less on them than i did yesterday for sure, agree there are question marks,, what pushed me over the edge to play cards small (other than being a homer) was when i saw the teams cole has been pitching so great against and how few pitches those teams made him throw..confident he wont have that same luxury today as cards will make him work and put him in high stress situations..lynn who the fukk knows? i dont..

Of course it's not. I'm just not understanding your "major overreaction" comment. If the Cardinals were -150, then I'd get it. You want to back a rookie pitcher making his first career postseason start in St. Louis against the hottest and most clutch offensive team in baseball at just +115, be my guest.

I think you need to watch baseball before you make a bet against a real team like the cards and when I sit there and watch your plays and say to myself someone that really puts money on games wouldn't bet there hard earned money on stupid plays and take a chance on stupidity !
listen kid I've watched you now for 4 years now and you should stop misleading the newbies on this site and take your Monopoly money and go by yourself a video game or a toy and really give if up cause there is no way in hell that you bet for real dollars !!!!
Sorry but it's very hurting the way u always try to impress people on this site trying to hit big dogs and really make air bet cause the real bettors would never ever bet this way and I know or a fact cause when u go to work for your money and even if your up or down u would never make a stupid bet like this!
the only thing that's good about this is when u release your play and it makes it easier for players to bet the other way cause u r really a kid that knows penetrate all!!!!
Give it up bro cause at my sports bar u would get such a slap that you wouldn't be able to talk anymore shit!

We're all the public. I don't think anyone's denying that. But you've seen how a pick typically goes if all of SBR is backing it.

lol,,yea id say that is fair, of coarse i could have pitched better than burnett.. i dont think cards will light him up as much as i think for the 1st time he will be forced to throw a lot of pitches and work out of tough spots which is something he hasnt had to deal with..figure lynn prob go 6 and give up 2-3 runs and cards get to cole by 5th or so and get him for 3-4 runs then ill take cards pen vs pit the rest of the way..

It's not that complicated. When a team wins Game 1 so convincingly, public perception swings in favor of that team.

you telling me that the majority didnt expect cards to win gm 1 with waino on the mound? or that most didnt realize before yesterday cards are the better team? ok
