like the Reds as well. When was the last time the Pirates won a playoff game? They had a great season but the run ends here maybe they can repeat next year and get a playoff win next year but this isn't the year.

Brandon Phillips (shin) is in the lineup for Tuesday's Wild Card game against the Pirates.

Phillips left Saturday's game with a bruised shin and sat out Sunday, but the injury isn't enough to keep him out of the lineup with the team's season on the line. Shin Soo Choo will bat leadoff in the do-or-die game and will be followed by Ryan Ludwick, Joey Votto, Phillips, Jay Bruce, Todd Frazier, Zack Cozart, Ryan Hanigan, and Johnny Cueto. Francisco Liriano will start for Pittsburgh.

Both leagues it's been like that for 3 years now, and essentially it is considered a playoff game. This is round 1 of the playoffs.
