Do the tigers say he is the 4 guy now????? I mean he is barely an average pitcher now cant go past 7 inning and roughly a 4 ERA. He is not scheduled to pitch up until Sunday the last day of the season ....Do they use him Sunday and stain him as the 4 guy? Once the ace of the staff now he possibly may pitch the last game of the year which no one cares to playI have 3 bets Dickey over Verlander in wins for the year. They are tied at 13 Dickey goes again in a couple of days I'm hoping its a freeroll. I think the Tiger will pitch Verlander the last game of the year so they have an excuse not to use him game 1 or 2 and possibly game 3

good question. i think he pitches sunday.

Leyland is better off with Sherzer and Sanchez as his 1-2 combo.

Verlander is a great competitor though and may secretly have been battling an injury this season.

I think he will get his chance in the playoffs and i think he kicks it up a gear and does well.

Not necessarily, there are lots of possibilities with two days off in series. Goes 1-2-OFF-3-4-OFF-5

Why do you keep saying that? IF he pitches Sunday, he could pitch Game 1 on normal rest or Game 2 on five days rest. In fact, Leyland may WANT to start him Sunday because he cares more about Verlander pitching on normal or close to normal rest than he does the other pitchers. But no matter what, there is a better than 95% chance that Verlander starts one of the first two games (barring injury of course).

Tigers listed Porcello for Friday and Sanchez for Saturday nobody for Sunday yet Game 1 playoffs is a no brainer when a guy goes 20-3 he gets the nod game 2 goes to Sanchez he had a much better season then Verlander who squeezes out the nod for game 3 over Porcello (but shouldnt) either way gl to you
