GTFO... you're an embarrassment for this forum...like I told your earlier you don't even have the guts to create your own thread where you would exclusively post your own picks. There is simple explanation for that- 99% of all the responses in that thread would be nothing but a fukking air pump machines
All you can do is yap...square this, square that...do you really think that anyone here gives a fukk about your lame air betting ass opinion?Comment -

Thanks ya'll for the responses.
Anyone usually get pretty good comps off sports betting? Usually if I play 3k worth of Blackjack, I get rooms left and right.Comment -

#84First of all, if you go to the counter and say the name of the team you want to bet on, the person behind the counter will automatically know they are dealing with a noob. You never say the team name. It's annoying for the counter person because they have to turn around, read the board and pull the number for you.
Then, if you do say the team name, the person will be even more shocked to see that you are betting $3K. An amateur throwing down $3K?? WTF??
Always get the number first. Lets say San Fran is 224.
If you are taking the money line, you say "224 money line". They will ask for how much. Then say $3000 and lay the money down. If you don't specify money line they automatically assume you are taking the spread.
If you are taking the spread, you say "224". For how much? $3000 and lay it down.Comment -

#90Hey guys,
Im not a big sports better.
I use to be years ago but stopped and just played poker when I gamble.
I'll be going to Vegas this weekend (week 1 of the NFL) and wanted to wager a big sum of money.
Now this is a lot of money for me. Maybe not to some of you but to me its a lot.
What is the best way to make a bet without having any taxes involved with the casino books?
Also what is the best website that shows the casino's odds so I dont have to walk into each one to compare.
I plan on putting down at least 3k for Niners -4.5
I dont know a local nor do I want to get involved with one. just the casino books that is all.Comment -

#93I would get a player's card from LVH so that you get points for comps. Don't worry - the information will not be sent to the IRS - only paranoid people worry about that. The only time info is sent to IRS is if you transact 10K or more in a day. The other casinos don't provide any worthwhile comps.
Also with the player's card, your limits can be higher. I've had MGM turn down a wager because it exceeded their limit until I flashed my player's card.Comment -

#95Wrong. Only W-2g info is going to the IRS. If you cash out over 10K you fill out a form that goes to the treasury dept. only concern there is for money laundering. Unless you hit an absolutely ridiculous parlay, or a horse bet, you won't be filling out a W-2g at a sportsbook. Pretty sure for a W-2g you need to hit 100 times your initial bet. Grits and Gravy can explain it more precisely. People normally aren't worried about the IRS when it comes to a players card for a sportsbook. They are worried about a sportsbook manager tracking their plays and getting limited if they beat a sport or a spot consistently.
I personally have never had any difficulty wagering with a player's card. I've only had difficulty when I didn't have a player's card (imposing smaller limits)Comment -

#96I'm not wrong. But if you want to split hairs: yes you are correct that a CTR (currency transaction report) does not report income (which is what you associate the IRS to be). But it is part of the overall IRS operation, and yes the purpose is to keep tabs on potential money laundering.

Don't be that dip shiiit who goes to the window and says "Uh yeah....I wanna bet $3000 on San Fran."
You would be better off asking them how to place a bet like that rather than doing it wrong.Comment -

Last night. First time playing. Shit was fun. Didn't know what I WS doing but kept playing the numbers (5,6,8) + the bet behind my original bet. Anyways, gonna throw down money on Niners with my winnings.might parlay Indy , Tampa, and Niners. I wonder what a G bet would make that payout.Comment -
