#3It's in New Orleans, there is NO better city for the SB than that.
If the Bears are in it, I'm getting tickets, simple as thatComment -

#11New Orleans is a dump and always will be, the media attention they got when Katrina wiped them out was pathetic they should have left it under water.
I have been there dozens of time, went to the Pats GB SB there and it was not that great.
City is so over rated it isnt even funny. It is on the level of Detroit actually, but people feel sorry for them because they got destroyed. People should have taken it as a sign. They were told for years the city was one storm away from disaster, they dodged the bullets for a long time, but it caught up with them eventually. Then the corruption and theft that took place during the rebuilding, and that was from the elected officials who were in charge of it all.
Like I said another hurricane could wipe that place off the face of the earth and I wouldnt bat an eyelash.Comment -

#13detroit - great baseball stadium (none in nola), better football stadium by far, better hockey (none in nola), basketball arena we'll call a push, better casinos
so for sports and gambling (sbr people) i would flip that and say detroit 100x better than new orleansComment -

#14wouldn't judge a city for gambling. Go there to have fun (non sports related) and it's a good city.Comment -

#15Mike, i have been there twice for Mardi Gras...not the fat tuesday itself, but the weekend leading up to it, its definitly something to do once, like a bucket list type of thing. Wouldn't go again for that madness. But French Quarter Fest, jazz fest, voodoo fest, GREAT music, World class great food, better than ANYWHERE else in america. I love history, so unless you have done a proper horse and buggy/on foot tour of the french quarter, you are missing out.
i fuckin love the place, the weather (outside of june-august) is outstanding, save for the occasional hurricane LOL
The food is what does it for me though, i love a good meal, and that city literally has more great restaurants that range from palaces to holes in the wall, unlike anywhere else in america, and i've been all over north america. Nothing else comes close.Comment -

#16yeah if you want to get mugged or raped or kidnapped maybe New Orleans is awesome. Place is a complete waste of space. The only reason it isnt still topping the charts as one of the worst cities in America with one of the worst crime rates is they had a lot of pity put on them. Doesnt change the fact the place is still a shit hole.Comment -

i usually visit cities for sports and/or gambling so that's why i don't rank it higher
i agree the food is great (poster dextermatsusaka has a pizza place there) but i would still say for restaurants in the u.s.

#21San Fran and Portland underrated for food. New York obviously solid. Vegas is alright but it's missing something......maybe being isolated in a desert with no culture sways my opinion.....plus I love seafood and San Fran/Portland/Seattle has that.Comment -

NYC is number 1, hands down.
10 years ago, Las Vegas wasn't even a top 50 foo/restaurant city, now it's a top 5.
Emeril, Wolfgang, a slew of other world reknowned chefs have amazing restaurants there.Comment -
