Gotcha, Sickler. Truthfully though, I haven't found any younger friends on SBR since the YGG heydays; after the points debuted the kind of twinks we found on SBR were of a far lower caliber. I see a lot of DacBietViet in most of them, in that the most interesting thing about them is their lack of self-respect or desire to acquire sharper gambling skills. Also, SBR destroying their own chat and the group moving to TinyChat ruined the ability to evaluate them fairly, secure in the knowledge that a new one would always be around the corner. We had to take anybody we could get, and the end result wasn't pretty.

As far as finding some evidence of nascent homosexuality in many of them, I've long said that these semi-anonymous communications media will always skew heavily that way. 90% of the people posting in forumville are in the closet about something in their life, so it was fairly natural for a lot of the guys who were in the closet about their sexual orientation to perhaps gravitate to me because I'm openly gay. I did the same thing in Junior High, finding any excuse to hang out with the handful of guys at the High School who I suspected might also be gay, so I could learn how they dealt with life and feel more comfortable about my own developing self-image.
