    Ricky Romero Pitching tonight
Would LOVE to keep fading this gas can tonight. The Blue Jays have lost 13 of his last 14 starts, and the one win was a minor miracle.

Romero is amazingly 0-13 in his last 13 decisions! I've got a hard time remembering anyone who has been more money than this guy.

    BUT

Andy Pettitte hasn't pitched since the end of June when he broke his ankle, what the hell kind of shape is he in??? -224 is a real high tariff for the Yankees.

    TOUGH call here...what to do?!

Pettitte on a 75 pitch limit and then they're bringing in just about the worst fukking mid relief pitching ever... Robertson, Eppely, Logan. Those guys SUCK! So for your -210 you're getting a mid grade, long in the tooth, rusty pitcher, and a really $witty mid relief cew. Yankee bats have picked up a lil bit but they're not pounding the ball like before the All Star Break. Martin and Jones batting 5th and 6th? Both guys hitting .200. With all that being said I'm POUNDING the Yankees. JK. Overs the play. Do yourself a favor and go first 5 if you take the Yanks.

                              ---
The left-hander is 0-13 with a 7.91 ERA in 14 starts since beating Miami on June 22, and his losing streak has tied a club record established by Tom Underwood from Aug. 28, 1978-June 10, 1979. New York has made a significant contribution to Romero's stretch of misery, giving him three of those defeats by reaching him for 11 runs in 20 innings.
Romero's woes continued versus Seattle on Wednesday, when he allowed three runs and eight hits with four walks and was pulled after four-plus innings in a 3-2 defeat. Despite the ongoing futility, manager John Farrell refuses to give up on the pitcher who won 42 games his first three years in the majors.

Pettitte will be on a pitch count and or innings limit. Heard on radio prob 80 pitches and/or 4 or 5 innings. Dont know whos gonna come out of the pen for yankees. everyone is rested with yesterdays off day. You will prob see Joba at one point. But which joba the one who goes 1.1 innings with 3 ks and no er or the .3 with 2 walks and a homer. If we knew pettitte was gonna be going 6 innings or into the 7th id play the yankees rl. But with the pen being used longer tonight and pettittes first start in 2 months. Even though he was money when he came back this yr after a yr off. But you know he was throwing and running for that yr off. But now hes coming back from an injury so how sharp will he be? He was just cleared last week or the week before to throw off a mound so he hasnt had much time. Add in no rehab starts because the minor league season is over. I wouldnt touch it.

Plus I know he Romero and garbage since his first 7 or so starts. But he pitched twice against the yankees in august and he didnt pitch terrible either.

robertson far from worst releiver ever. He hasnt been the same since coming back from the DL. And i wouldnt pitch him more than an inning. Which girardi has. But hes far from the worst.

Doubleheader slated for tomorrow. The sports radio stations here in TO have roasted Ricky over and over and have questioned why he continues to have a spot in the starting lineup. At this point late in the season, it does not really matter as the Jays are going nowhere. This guy makes 5.5M/year and his arm died long ago. Maybe the best way to look at this game is to just examine the batting lineup and start from there? Both pitchers have lots of question marks....No play for me though.

They actually switched it up. It's Romero pitching against Phelps now. I personally would rather bet on Phelps over Pettite. lm waiting for the line to come out. Might be a little more slack on the juice.

Pettitte gets in a little trouble and he could be out as early as the 4th inning. Girardi makes me wonder sometimes but he's a smart Manager. He's probably got everything worked out. Game 2 is still the play, though.
