I cap pace of play and try to determine how many possessions each team will have, after that I just go by yards per play, offenses strengths vs defenses weaknesses to try and figure out how many scoring drives each will have in those possessions, red zone efficiency to figure how how many tds/fgs to expect. They initially did kick the extra point but there was a penalty on panthers which allowed them the ball at 1 yard line. Clearly they felt they could run for a yard on them whenever they wanted! Pats/jets over 47.5 (2x).. this total feels a lot like the Houston/pats game, few points higher but still just seems low considering how poor pats defense is playing! Pats d is bottom of league in most meaningful defensive stats, they know this and so Brady and co have kept their foot on the gas knowing they gotta hang big numbers to win. Even last Thursday when they held Tampa to 14 the bucs missed a bunch of fgs and quite honestly it was way more a product of Winston missing open guys than the defense actually playing well.
