Good idea to lay off of the Jazz. They are not getting consistent rebounding, which also means that they are not getting the appropriate outlet passes to get their break going the way that is designed to go. It's not so much only on AK's shoulders as it is that the youngsers follow the lead of the vets on that squad, and they up their energy even more when surrounded by said vets. Boozer not playing is damaging their positioning for a possible playoff seeding. They are the type of team that needs a home court advantage in order to advance, and if they don't get all of the old heads back into uniform soon, we may be seeing a playoffs without them in it. Houston will one day have it's lineup at full strength.

Please reread my post. I did not say no one cares about capping. I said a good majority don't care, they lurk and tail the few skilled cappers on these forums for winners and have no care to learn to craft of the cap.

For both of these picks tonight, just the money line. The puck line is like a spread, cept it is always set for -1.5/+1.5 goals. Favorite always giving the goal and a half and dog getting the goal and a half.

i was almost with you on the jazz wang. but as i mentioned a few days ago, i feel their recent woes are directly attributed to no ak47. he means that much to them on the defensive end of the floor - starting fast breaks etc..

with that said, the jazz just have to win su to get the cash, which is very good value for such a great home team.

I hear you on that, but to me, they really haven't been THAT unexpectedly dissappointing. Over the years the jazz have always had one of the best home winning records and a marginal to terrible road record, so their losses in denver and houston (which they ALMOST came back in and only lost because they let themselves get jumped on early like they have a bad habit of doing on the road). The only loss in the last 3 that surprised me was at home, but that was to a top 3 team in the NBA, in that game, with no AK to slow lebron, they STILL won one half of a game against them, and really only lost it in the 3rd quarter, to a much superior team. Cleveland is better than SA by miles right now imho. the spurs are a mediocre road team, cleveland plays dominant on the road as well, so ultimately, the better team just squeaked one out against a vulnerable team. The spurs just haven't been handling their business against good teams the last two years, spurs road wins this year:

the jazz have only lost consecutive home games once in the last two seasons and the spurs w/o revenge just don't win on the road against teams who don't have losing records.

Anyways... i think i convinced myself to put a little more on the jazz... haha, nah i don't want to get too in over my head, but this is my biggie tonight.

Craig Brackins is lights out. He shoots for a good percentage, and stays on the floor 30 minutes agame which means that he gives consistent production fromthe forward spot. Iowa State does have better talent than Colorado, and I don't know why Colorado has gone down hill so fast this year, but they have and I think that you have made the correct call on this one, but the line movement is not ideal for the play as 73% of bettors are on Iowa State, and the line went from a PK to Colorado-1. I would like to see the consensus drive the line back to a PK for you on this game. I am fully vested in what I am going to play today, as i am going kind of light during this experiment. I wish you well on this pick, and all of the other wagers you may have cooking today. Please don't stop giving out those incredible picks of yours. The CK Mafia as a whole community has bought into the system that you and I have had so much success with over the years. The SBR threads are a better place due to your inclusion! Maybe someone can help me on this one. I've been looking at Iowa St. I've looked at all the angles and found the edge that I think makes the difference, so what does it matter what anyone else is taking in this game. Just because the majority of the public likes them they won't play as well? I'm willing to learn, take me to school.

Along the same lines as nightridah's under pick, I took the Sac team total at half under 48.5. The Kings score around 98 per game and I don't see them putting up 49 in the 1st half on the road against arguably the best defense in the league.
The fact that it is Cleveland's first home game scared me away from the large -14 total spread, but that fact that they are 20-0 at home would seem to mitigate somewhat the normal letdown that can be expected in this situation.
I have bets on the Cavs 1Q -4 and the Sac team total under 48.5 at half.

If the public is jumping all over a spread like ants, the line should correspond and shift the way that they are playing the game for reasons of making it more difficult for the public to win money when the linemakers has made a mistake. This activity by the lnemaker is called a correction. But if you capped the game and fee strong about your play, then you should be alright. Good luck to you on thison. Yes there will be alot of sad faces at the end of that game. Despite all of that public money on Purdue, the Badgers are still favored. I waasn't even really into this game until I saw the size of the line in comparison to what the Badgers are normally favored over Purdue by and all of the public including the threads taking the Boilers. Sooner Greg, i see a line of -625 for Creighton in the 1st half, and also the overall game spread has gone down a bit, so i would not recommend a play for the 1st half on that one. They may not cover either half if this keeps up.
