I love the action too much to make one or two plays a day. Big reason why I have a hard time staying in the black, and also a big reason why I do better in sports that have less games (like football) to bet on.Comment -

#1826I'm used to it. Funny (and sad) thing is, while I bet $20 a unit, I've made almost 600 plays this year. So I've probably had more $$$ in action than most guys betting $100 a unit who are more selective with plays.

#1827i love whilst exchanging worthless information, you are all so defensive and tight-knit that it's not even a consideration I'm being semi serious. i don't bet huge whatsoever; could not care less the amount someone else wagers.
however, no coin is one of the most amusing people that posts in this forum.Comment -

#18323-4, -3.84U tonight
314-287, -39.06U thread
Lost High Point by the hook, LIU 1H by a point and North Dakota State by a point in OT.
I'd like to say that's an unusual string of bad luck, but it's become par for the course in this thread basically all season long.Comment -

#1833Thursday's leans:
Missouri -2.5 vs. Colorado State
Davidson +3.5 vs. Marquette
St. Mary's +1 vs. Memphis
Arizona -4 vs. Belmont
Valpo +10.5 vs. Michigan State
Bucknell +3.5 vs. Butler
Cal +3 vs. UNLV
New Mexico State +9.5 vs. St. Louis
Montana +12.5 vs. Syracuse
Akron +7.5 vs. VCU
As of now, I like the top two the most. Next two are right behind.Last edited by No coincidences; 03-21-13, 12:36 AM.Comment -

#1834the next two are right behind...it's like i have to beat you memphis haters off with a stick. for once in your life you're not questioning a 2.5 point line shift in that game?Comment -

#1835A move from +1.5 to -1 isn't nearly as relevant as a move from +9 to +6.5. Combine that with the fact that I'm sure the public is on Memphis and this is a 6/11 game -- sorry bro. I'll likely be taking the Fighting Delevadovas (which is probably a good thing for you).Comment -

#1836wont be around for the early gms, friend of mine pressured me into helping him finish a retaining wall job he needs to get done to get paid and like the sucker i am i agreed
glad i got montana early, feel good with 14, actually think they can hang around 10ish..saw some trend about favs in the 11-14 point range have a pretty bad ats track record in the tourney as well..
u know im with you on mizzou...your gonna convince me to bet zona cause i really like them anyway but figure ill be double disappointed if i lose a bet on them and also have my sleeper team going out in round 1..
lean davidson and bucknell as well but not sure if i play them or just let them ride in my bracket cause if they win bracket be off to a nice start..
akron tempting just cause everyone so low on them/high on vcu but scares me they turn it over 30 times..
i know you hate totals but im gonna tell you 1 more time i really like that valpo/msu over,, also on sdst/mich ov 140, and under 124.5 in pit (obviously that number gone and wouldnt play at 119..
gl with all your plays brother and enjoy the early part of the day for me..Comment -

#1842bank i love it man...i actually took memphis in this game in my bracket, switched at the last minute, but have them losing to michigan state. i know i threatened to strategically take them to lose so i would have a pick none of my office pool would have but i can't do it. i won't be betting the game though, so we're even there.Comment -

#1843and while i'm here, unit size shmunit size...like no coin says, it's all about how you bet. i remember a long time ago reading nicky santoro saying that the name of the game is to not go broke, and that is some of the best advice i have read on this forum.Comment -

#1844actually you are right, and i knew this before i posted, i just wanted to rib you on the line move thing. the 'public' appears to be on memphis heavy, and when a dog becomes a fave that the public is on, it's not usually a great thing. however, i can't imagine in the tournament we're dealing with a lot of public action having any affect on lines.

#1845Coin looking into a huge play on Mizzou -2.5. What do you see? I have to admit I really haven't watched CSU this year but have watched lots of Mizzou games. On paper the talent discrepancy looks huge. CSU have Ivorsen but a the tigers starting 5 is legit if their PG doesn't turn it over too much.
They have been great at home, good on neutral and brutal away from home. This game is over twice as close to Columbia as it is Ft Collins and Missouri is a much bigger school than CSU so you would have to think it would be much closer to a home game for the tigers.
Both teams excellent at rebounding so that may cancel out but I think Mizzou has the better outside shooters. I know they choked first round last year as 27 point faves but if anything that should make the players and coaching staff extra focussed on not fukking up again this year.
Also may or may not be a factor but gotta think the NCAA would rather have a Louisville v Mizzou match up in the next round than Louisville v CSU.Comment -

A little worried about the CSU coaching advantage.Comment -

#1851I like Valpo to start it off with a bang. Most likely going to be on Davidson, but I'm starting to think that pick is almost too trendy. Haven't seen one person on Marquette. Every bracket I look at has Davidson moving on like they are the #3 seed.Comment -

#1855Izzo taking Bryce Drew to school in this game.
MSU players know what Valpo is going to do before they even do it.
