LTA.. I know your concentrating on totals at the moment but im interested in your opinion of the Suns -2 today vs the kings..

Actually, I was going to play the kings tonight. However, thornton is likely out and the kings cannot be backed without thornton. He is their best all around backcourt player and when "the jimmer" has to play forced minutes the kings are really bad. The jimmer cannot hang on defense.....he is not a good player.

If thornton plays = play on sactown

If thornton sits = pass

Hey LTA, any lean on the Spurs/Cavs total? With the Cavs struggling to score, is there value on the under? I was also leaning on the under in the Bobcats/Raptors game at first glance, but after taking a look at both teams recent history, they are scoring more than I thought. Makes me second guess my original opinion. Appreciate the input.

Magic/Pistons under (184) 1x (Locked)

I jumped on this one right at the open but was surprised to see so much value. Im actually a little concerned the books are looking for under money, because I expected an opener of 182. However, I have this game set at 180 so this is too much value to pass up the 184. Anderson is out, with howard and nelson questionable with nagging injuries. Regardless of who plays, however, I expect the pistons to slow the pace just like they did against the bulls. These two teams are already bottom 7 in PACE and played at an 80 pace earlier in the season when tbe game ended at 167. Thats why I expected more of an adjustment, but im not going to overthink it. The refs are capers, dalen and wright which does not particularly concern me. I have this game set at 180 giving us a full 4 points of value. Based on the foregoing, I am rolling with the under for 1x. Good luck.

FYI

Marcus Thornton (calf) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Suns.

Thornton was inadvertently kicked in the left calf by Luke Ridnour on Monday night. Afterward, he said "it feels like my leg is about to explode." Considering how early Thornton was ruled out for Tuesday, we can only consider him very questionable for Thursdays game against the Clippers. Terrence Williams is tentatively expected to fill in as the starting shooting guard, with Jimmer Fredette also getting a boost in minutes.

Good luck with the play. Total down to 182 1/2 where I play. Looks like Gordon might play for Pistons. I keep looking at the Sixers/Heat game, but tough to find a strong lean. I'd like to watch it and have some action, but lines look like a coin toss? Sixers have been poison on the road, Heat tough at home. 8 points is a lot. Under 185 in Sixers/Heat looks interesting, but no value and I have a hunch it will be another game that you sweat out in the final minutes.

Nice call on the grizz last night. Didn't see that coming. Thunder getting 4 at Miami and Spurs -1 against Celtics on Wednesday, both look attractive at first glance. Small road favorites have been trap city lately, causing me to pause on jumping on Spurs. Will be interested to see if you see any value on these games later tonight or Wed. Keep grinding and gl.

I loved your call on that one, looked it at up in the morning but passed, locked it now at 183 I think its still a good number (And I got a little extra money, - 105). But now that my favorite play the Under 198 on the grizzlies is gone, there's another really eyeing towards me: Heat - 8.0. They have been slow, yes, and have been lookin' sleepy (who says there's no such thing in the nba doesn't watch many games) but now back home and against a team that should also come out with an edge because they've lost the other 3 games against the Heat, I think they get up for this game to give something for the fans to cheer and feel good about and they might just get a big sweep of the Sixers whom they clearly own. I would have not played it at 9, but now at 8... feeling really good about them.

Remember a few of us were debating the Pistons/Bulls under a few days ago when it opened at 182? I think this game plays out in similar fashion. In that one the Bulls won 82-71. The Pistons have not been able to crack 70-80 points against any decent defense over the past month or so. I think we should continue to ride the Pistons unders against good teams until they prove us wrong and as long as the books don't adjust. I like the Heat too, but will stay away from that one.

Im watching this and theres a lot of layups and shots being made inside the paint. No Howard is really hurting on the defensive end of the floor.

No shit. It was 23-21 with 1 minute left in the 1st quarter. They ended up at 27-25 and then scored 6 points in the first minute of the 2q. Apparently, neither team is going to play any defense whatsoever. Hopefully, the pure ineptitude of the players on the court will lead to a 30 point quarter in the 2h to cash this under.

Indy crushed late in the second quarter...down 59-51. For those who did not catch the play on time, Indy is a 5.5 fav for the second half...essentially getting Indy at +2.5 for the game.

Are Pacers really going to lose all 3 games they played against the Knicks this year? If they blow this game, I think I will hate them more than any other team. Even the Jazz. Show a little pride. They better come out strong in the 2h.
