What does the -7 and the +2 means?

If you bet on Utah Jazz on the handicap (which in this case was -7) it basically means that if you take 7 points off Utah's total at the end of the game, do they still win? If they do then the bet wins. (You are giving the opposition a 7 point head-start)

For example: Portland 96 Utah 101 (if you take 7 points off Utah to make it 94, they would lose 96-94 so the bet loses)

Dallas +2 on the handicap means they get a 2 point head-start.

OKay, so if a team is +2 like Dallas was yesterday... if the final score is OKC 102 Dallas 99 straight up, the score after the spread (the "spread" is +2) would have been OKC 102 Dallas 101 (because Dallas gets +2 added to their score). If you would have bet Dallas in this scenario, you would have lost.

On the other hand, if the score was OKC 102 Dallas 101 straight up, the score after the spread would be OKC 102 Dallas 103 (again, adding the +2 from the spread) and you bet Dallas, you would have won this bet.

So if you have dallas +2. It means you add two points onto their score at the end of the game and if it means they win, you win the bet.

Example: Dallas 104 - Miami 105 (Although dallas lost the game by 1 point, if you had bet on them on the handicap (+2) then you add that 2 point head start onto dallas's total points making it:

Dallas 106 - Miami 105 .. therefore your bet would win
