    Can anyone explain this phenomenon
a month or two ago the celtics had a few bad games and suddenly celtics were done, they would be out by the first round or cavs would kill them etc etc

they make a couple of wins over the heat and suddenly everyone is going on that they are going to knock cavs out

cavs a few weeks ago were blowing out the competion in the first 10 minutes of the game, they had the best superstar and team and they were gonna win it all, they have a close game with bulls and celtics and suddenly the cavs have noone but lebron and will go nowhere

why do peoples minds change so easily

cant someone form an opinion and stick to it?

It's all just talk... Anyone that actually picked Boston to beat the Cavs in this series based on their manhandling of Miami is foolish, as the Heat were one of the easiest teams to bet against in round 1.

However, the appearance of an even matchup is what the books (and the NBA) are all about, and a huge element of that illusion is justifying the "value" in the dogs. The Celts were NEVER going to win Game 1, but that didn't stop people from playing the Boston ML... The sheep can be convinced of pretty much anything...

Eye of the beholder dude. People that give objective opinions here are what I'm looking for-people that are fans, supporters, convincers are not why I wager. Cheers

                Its called the Bandwagon Syndrome.

Its been around since the birth of media.

In sports usually ESPN, Nike, Gatorade lead in charge for bandwagoneers.

It's all to do with trends. Whether it's an ESPN trend repeatedly pounded through the airwaves that the casual fan jumps on, or even a "SHARP GUYS ONLY!!!" trend that others, who think themselves to be the sharper of knives in the drawer, love to ride. Either one, it's sometimes difficult to keep your own opinions apart from such influences. Sometimes you get influenced and you don't even know it.

False. A pro team can about always beat another on a given night at varying odds. It's easy to say otherwise after the fact.
