If you put Lebron James in the worst Division 1 Team can they win the title?
I'm talking about putting Lebron James in the team after the seedings have been done. Lebron would not have played even 1 single game with the college team during the regular season. How far do you think they will go? I know one player does not make a team. But I am saying you put Lebron James into the 16th seed in a region and they play a 1 seed team like Kansas or Kentucky.

Now i don't know those teams that usually are ranked 16th but do you guys say the 16th ranked team will still get beaten pretty badly if Lebron James plays for the 16th ranked team? Is there a chance they could actually win this game even though the rest of the team is probably horrible?

How many players would you say is needed from the NBA and put into the worst team in the NCAA 16th ranked team in the region for them to have a chance to win the tournament? Obviously if you have Kobe Bryant, Paul Gasol and Ron Artest in the team and have 2 other players from the college team in the starting 5, its pretty obvious they would win the NCAA title easily right? I'm assuming these NBA players would get to practice with the weak college team for a few days before they play the tournament.

How many NBA all star players do you say is needed for them to win the tourney? I'm guessing 2 players and they should be the favorite. What if its just someone like Kobe Bryant and thats it. Do you guys think they can win the title? If not, what about just the first game against the #1 ranked team in the region. I'm thinking of Kobe gets to shoot the ball almost every possession like he did versus the Raptors where he scored 81 points, he would be unstoppable. However, his other players will have to defend and Kobe would not be able to do that.

Thoughts? If you put Lebron and Kobe in the 16th ranked team and have the other 8-9 weak college players in that team, would you say its a walk in the park for the college team to win the NCAA title even though its one and done? You have to count the liability of the other players on the team so what do you guys think.

Your talking about the 2 best players on the planet... Lebron on a YMCA team would probably get out of the 1st round. He's a one man wrecking ball. Put him on any resemblance of a basketball team and they'd probably make it to the final 4...

Watching Lebron in high school was a somewhat similar situation his senior year. His starters weren't scrubs, but none were great. They played a national schedule against prep schools like Oak Hill Academy and beat them.

I'd say if you put Lebron on the 16th seed they could beat Kentucky. It's not his scoring that would do it, it's his court vision. Also, he would be able to make the team play way above their heads for a game or two.

Well if they put him on a 16 seed and they beat the 1st seed I'd hope that team would make it to the final 4.

It's tough to say...But there are people in the NBA that can keep him under control, somewhat.

Absolutely nobody in the NCAA can hold him...he could play Center in the NCAA and tear those weak guys up.

Look how much bigger he is tan in high school. H would tear up the NCAA something like Hansborough did. Nobodys in college could guard him.

Someone mentioned Radford as 16th seed and that they would have a good chance to win the title.

                        They say

These are my exact thoughts. Conversations like these arise nearly every year, along with the could the USC Trojans/Texas Longhorns/generic CFB power house beat the Oakland Raiders? The same concept applies.

Check out the 2002-2003 Syracuse National Championship team. A tier 1 NBA superstar (Carmelo Anthony) with the help of a now average, but consistent, NBA player (Hakim Warrick) dominated the season and won the championship. Carmelo was a freshman. Imagine adding him to any team now with seven years of NBA experience.

Throw LeBron on Radford and they win the National Championship. Throw LeBron and Kobe on Radford and they'll name the score against anyone they play.

                        Thoughts?

If you put Lebron on a mid-major but somewhat mediocre team like say, SDSU (#11), they'll win all their games by double digits all the way to the finals...

Some people really don't understand the HUGE difference between the NBA and NCAA. If you take any player any starting lineup that averages more than 10 points in the NBA, they'll dominate in college. Look at JJ Redick- Just an average NBA player. Look at what Evan Turner is doing with the Buckeye's. Evan Turner would average 17, 5, and 5 if he were in the NBA right now. Put those next to Lebron's NBA numbers. 30 8 and 8 pretty much. If Lebron were in College, he'd average 25, 14, and 14.

He's stronger than any player in the country. Demarcus couzins couldn't get a rebound over Lebron if you put bron at the center. Could back down anyone in the nation. Fastest player in the nation. Could handle the ball and better passes than any PG (BY FAR) than any player in college. He could literarlly play all 5 positions in college. He pretty much plays 3-4 positions in the NBA, the only person in the league that could do that, besides maybe Lamar Odom.

There is no question. Had he have went to college he has said he would have chosen Ohio State or Akron. Had he went to the Akron Zips, lowly on a national scale, they would have made it to the final 4 in his frosh year.

just Lebron with marist , i don't think they would go to the final four, Lebron and Kobe , they would easily go all the way especially lebron at his current size, i think he is about 25 pounds heavier than he was in his rookie year. Unstoppable in the post

Back to the original question, Lebron could take a team very deep and could very well win an ncaa title but the rules in cbb, especially the weak ass charging calls could really hamper his game. Players can just slide underneath LBJ while he's up in the air and they call a bullshit charge. Add the fact of only getting 5 fouls and it's so easy to take star players out of key college games that it's ridiculous.
