Boston/Orlando OVER 189.5

Everyone seems aware that both matchups went "under" this season, but I think those games had more to do with both teams missing wide open jumpers than anything else. During the X-mas day game, Boston didn't have Pierce available to knock down 3s, but the Magic missed wide open 3 pointers all game that would've inflated the score big time had some of them fallen. But thats all history, and all that remains is this tiny number the books put up which seems way too low to me. I got in here a little late considering it opened around 187ish, but I think 195 is a more practical number. If teams can get routine shots to fall in this game, I believe the pace will be quick enough to put this thing over the posted total pretty easy...

I am of the same beleif Don. Way too many people here are loving the under.. The matchup tonite all points to the under based on recent play and recent histories of these two teams. The last 10 meetings the O/U is 2-8 and some of those totals went well under the posted total. This being a televised game on TNT and everybody here loving the under I feel you are in good shape.. I've said before and I will say it again.. The obvious doesn't work much. The obvious in this scenario in reality is the under. I have never met a wealthy handicapper that went off stats alone. If it was that easy nobody would have a job. We would just bet the most likely scenario and put the books right out of business. We both know better than this. I haven't played the over as of yet, but if I decide to play the total tonite this is the way I have been leaning today. I missed a better number. I don't think it gets any higher than 190. The momentum has died down. As always good lucky!

Who knows, but my guess is the books originally had a low number in mind for the opener, went "underboard" with it, then "wiseguys" hammered it up into place around 190.
