1-27 RAPTORS bury HEAT --Sure-Lock Holmes
The Raptors coming off a win at the buzzer against the Lakers will be on a high.
Miami losing in a heartbreaker to LeBron and Co... Lay the 3 and get it early before it hits 5. I am new to the Forum but not new to this gm. Toronto rolls behind Bosh.

You should expect the exact opposite here Sure-Lock. Teams that defeat the defending champions should ALWAYS be faded in their next game especially if it was on a game winning shot. They are not as motivated/ready for the next game since they were so amp'd up for that Laker game for at least a week before it. The Heat have been playing good ball lately and are PISSED about that loss to the Cavs. The Raptors don't play any defense and the Heat should be able to put up a ton of points on them. The Raptors can mentally "afford" the loss to the Heat since they upset the Lakeshow. The Heat on the other hand want this game badly, Wade embarassed himself on national TV getting dunked on, missing countless free throws, scoring like two points in the 2nd half, and blowing the game with the late turnover in the Cavs game. The Heat are a much better team to fade coming off a win, Heat are 12-8 coming off a loss.

1.This is what Bosh said about tonight's game: 'The significance of the game (Wednesday) is going to make it a very intense environment, and that's the best basketball to play"
They are battling Heat for the 5th spot. So i don't think lack of motivation will be a factor here tonight.

            2. I disagree. Raptors played horrible defense early in the season for sure. But they have come around. And they play well at home.

That being said, I still can't decide on a side. Raptors will be missing their rookie starting SF tonight. not sure how much of an impact that would have on them.

yeah it's gonna be a battle for 4th/5th. DeMar DeRozan is doubtful for the game with a sprained ankle. he averages 10/12 points a game, but nothing Marco Belinelli wont be able to provide.

Plus they OWN the Heat winning 7 of the last 9.

Should be a close game - Raps are great at home, and they'll definitely get up for this important game with playoff-implications. More confident in the Over than I am with the spread (-3 Raps). Think my play on this to parlay Raps ML (-150) with the Over (now at 204.5)

The Raptors have given up 100+ points 9 times this month already in only 12 games. Trust me they still don't play much defense.

Yes, but they aren't giving up points like how they did in November and December. And raptors offence can most of the time score over 100 with ease. Thats' why they are 7-5 in January and 9-1 at home in the last 10.

                                      it's gotta be the HEAT

Everything i know about basketball screams HEAT in this game...
                                      especially in the beginning.

Raptors had just a won a heart-breaker, and the Heat lost one..

                                      If Raptors wipe-out the Heat,
then i don't understand anything at all,
and am incapable of grasping what the dynamics involved are.

and would be forced to hang it up.

I hope so - got 2 units on Raps ML / Over Parlay. WTF is wrong with NBA League Pass these days? Video and Audio is so out of sync... and it's the audio that's like 6 seconds ahead, so you hear the play before you see it - so annoying.
