Jason Kidd is dieng for his matchup with Chris Paul tommrow. Chris Paul will not have a good scoring game and with the minimal scorers New Orleans has that is bad news for the Hornets. New Orleans is a good team but they are barely even a playoff team without Chandler and Posey IMO. Dallas is hotter than hot @ home. New Orleans is 5-4 on the road last 9 but one of the wins was that fluke against miami (Miami scored 30 in the 1st half and were still up by 3 with 0.5 seconds left in the game), another win against the LAC, another win by 1 against SAC, and wins against Washington and Milwaukee. I like Dallas in this matchup.

Minimal scorers? Are you listening to yourself? This is the same Hornets team that played their asses off last year in the playoffs. Posey is questionable, but everyone else is playing in the game, even Peja. All of your statistics sound great but except for one thing. Dallas doesn't have any heart, so Dallas is not capable of covering a 6.5 point spread against a team of the Hornets caliber. The line started at +2.5 for the grizz, then the public pounced on the Suns bigtime. 70% percent of the public was going in for Phoenix... Then the line went to 1.5! WTF? And add to the fact that only Amare is the one guy missing in their lineup as opposed to 4 guys who may not be able to play for Memphis. And Memphis is a bad team period, I expected the line to be somewhere like +6 to +8 or something, not an almost PK play.

I made a heavy one on Memphis (same roll with Portland PK) but my mind is still reeling from this seemingly notorious matchup. Either I win a shocker tomorrow or regret that I didn't take the blessing on the Suns' spread.

Yes, I do think that New Orleans has minimal scorers. They are the fourth lowest scoring team in the NBA for a reason. Just because you play your ass off in the playoffs doesn't mean that you have scorers. Peja is extremely streaky, he can score 20 or he can easily score 6. The only legitimate scorers I see on New Orleans as of late are Paul, West, and Posey (if actually healthy). I don't see Paul having a good game with two exceptional defenders in Kidd and Terry covering him. Their three legitimate scorers won't be enough against Dirk, Howard, Terry, Kidd, and Barea (playing very well @ home). I am not saying your bet at +8.5 won't hit but I think Dallas will win this game.

The reason why the line is so low is that the Suns season is over and there isn't a chance at playoff contention anymore. The starters for the Suns will be logging in less minutes and the bench will be tested to see what they're capable of for next season. As you can see that was what Don Nelson was doing for his team before even more injuries occurred for the starters. Aside from that Memphis has been playing hard lately losing to Orlando and Portland by 3 and winning 4 games prior to that.
