Kobe is 'not' an All-Time Great - (proof)
Kobe is a pariah for star-free agents.

top 10 scorer. of course. Top 3 in fact.
but this is not 1-on-1 playground b-ball.

Superstars just do not take HUGE paycuts to avoid playing with All-Time Greats.
    They don't. Period.

Ray Allen took a $7 Million paycut to join Lebron & Co. (and just did it again)

Lebron took at least a $10M paycut to join Wade & Co.*

Bosh took a $5M paycut to join them both.

Dwight took a $30M paycut to not play with Kobe again. It wasn't D'Antoni.
D'Antoni was not telling Kobe "take as many shots as you can"
EVERYBODY on the Lakers complained about ball-distribution. Everybody except Kobe.*

it is this lack of sharing the ball.. that ultimately leads to the exodus of so many free agents.
As well as his personal treatment of them. He takes all the credit for winning, and is the point a *finger and cast blame if the team is struggling. Who would go there and have their stats killed, while at the same time, being called out as the cause of failure.

You cannot question Kobe, because of the Kobe-tard run media in Los Angeles.
If Kobe takes 40 shots and they lose.. it was the rest of*team that failed, as though..
the other players refuse to shoot and just let the clock run out. *

Good players do not run AWAY from All-Time great players, they run TOWARDS that opportunity.

Great post....Too bad Laker fans are too bitter to absorb the truth found within in it. Now we have Ice Cube chipping in and going all personal on Dwight...no mention of Kobe, the organization and the ill-advised choices they made this past season. I think winning a lot goes to peoples heads...and this has certainly happened with Laker fans. They are so used to winning, they have become spoiled. Winning takes teamwork and solid management behind the team...which was in place with Phil and Jerry....They have lost that and instead of acknowledging this, they obfuscate by placing the blame squarely on Dwight's shoulders. It is Lebron James all over again...and if history is any indicator, Dwight will come back healthy and deliver 30 and 20 on them next year...The Lakers will miss the playoffs....who will Kobe and his legion blame then? Well Kaman is there...so i assume he will become to the whipping boy...

Bryant won't miss the playoffs. 0% chance as long as Bryant isn't sidelined.

Dwight is making almost the same per year with houston as he was with L.A. only a little less. get your facts straight. you know nothing ratzz. all that matters is how much you are making per year.

Well they missed the playoffs in 05...under the same circumstances...Shaq leaving. But you may be right....Stern isn't gone till January, but provisions may very well be in place to "make sure" the Lakers make the playoffs, perhaps another 54 free throw performance courtesy of the Mafia Refs.....If Kobe is healthy, the league may decide to give them yet another 1st round exit....If Kobe is a no go ala Rose....the league will allow them to finish in the cellar where they justifiably belong....time will tell...

What a player is making per year is not all that matters....what matters is what a player is willing to do in order to win. Dwight took 30 less....just to get away from Kobe....which is unheard of in this league....And that is precisely what the Lakers will need in order to build another team that can contend, a player who has some years under his belt and is willing to take less to win a ring....the new CBA was created to stop the Lakers, in many ways its kind of unfair as it has leveled the playing field for other teams while hampering the Buss family....as under the new rules, it becomes very difficult to max out 3 superstar players.

Pat Riley and his organization along with Lebron created the new blueprint for success, which is unselfish players willing to take less to form superteams....So instead of bashing Dwight, the question Laker fans need to be asking themselves is who is on the market in 2014 and 15 that will be willing to take less to team up with Kobe...Lebron will not do it because he has already taken a pay cut...and Cleveland will be a better option as their team is shaping up quite nicely....Paul George And Granger are about to get paid and will not take a cut...they are too young for that...and Bird will do what ever it takes to sign them....Lillard, K-Love and John Wall will be looking for big cheques as well...Kobe or Pau would have to be amnestied....and either of the two would have to pay cut....Kobe is far too selfish for that...not much hope there..

Thats leaves Melo who may be willing to take a pay cut...as he is likely growing impatient...and wants a ring...but CANNOT co exist with Kobe...Melo is a bit of a ball hog himself and will not take less than 30 plus shots a game...Kobe about 25 shots...thats almost 60 between the two of them.....it wouldn't be long before Kobe started complaining to the Press and throwing Melo under the bus to prove a point....D'antoni did not have a clue how to handle Melo in new york...god knows what would happen in LA...this leads me to believe that if the Lakers are still important to the NBA as far as the name brand is concerned....they will rig the draft so that they land Wiggins or Parker....which might entice other players to sign up a few years down the line when those guys round out into form....

Wait.... So you get credit, for players taking MASSIVE paycuts below market value to buy a ring?

          That's interesting.

All time Greats that VOLUNTARILY left their team in their prime 1 (multiple?!?!?) times:

          Magic didn't do it
          Bird didn't do it
          Kobe didn't do it
          Jordan didn't do it
          Hakeem didn't do it
          Duncan didn't do it
          Malone didn't do it
          Kareem didn't do it

          Brady doesn't do it
          Manning doesn't do it

If anything, Lebron is not an all time great, based off these FACTS.

Every other top 10 player in HISTORY stuck with 1 team (unless they got traded). Shaq played for 2, but the Lakers didn't have a future hall of famer that had already won 1 finals MVP when he got there.

          My proof >>>>> your proof.

There is no facts that show Superstars have a history of taking PAYCUTS to join other all time greats... But there is proof that all time greats ALWAYS stay with one team.

Lebron wasn't giving up much. It was Wade that was giving up a lot. League's leading scorer. MVP candidate. All NBA first team. The face of a franchise. Guy gave up everything to play with Lebron. Lebron would have 0 rings right now if he didn't team with D Wade. Zero.

Bryant missed the playoffs in 05? Who was on his team. Name the starting lineup for the lakers in 2005. Enough said. Understand the game. Bryant took the worst team in NBA history to the playoffs. That team would have Zero regular season wins if you took Bryant off the team.

Is Bryant selfish? Sure, he's selfish. He also has five rings, much better career numbers than Shaq, a resume that dumps on Shaq's or any Laker player for that matter. Jordan already said that Kobe is the closest thing to him there ever was.

            BTW,

YOu realize when Lebron joined with Wade they were 2 of the best 4 players in the world at that time, right? Name 1 time that's ever happened in NBA history. Only once. Shaq and Bryant.

              Good day.
LOL....oh come come now......lets not try and stack the deck with big names who had it easy. Bird did not have to leave Celtics, he played with Robert Parrish, and Kevin Mchale...Magic? hahaha.....this man played with several hall of famers...would he have won a ring with the clippers? hahaha....Kobe landed on a team with the best front office, owner, and coach in basketball....had his first ring by the age of 22.....3rd ring by 24...then proceeded to chase shaq out of town out of jealousy, cheat on his wife while getting accused of rape...drive Phil Jackson insane, then after Jerry Buss paid for all traveling expenses to and from Colorado for court proceedings, what does Kobe do? He turns around and tells Jerry Buss that his plane is not up to standard...he deserves something more...then after he is acquitted and Jerry and the city of LA come out in full force standing behind his innocence, he tells him his team sucks and he wants to be traded......Kobe wanted to LEAVE...so who are u trying to fool? LOL.

Hakeem did not have to leave....Jordan got his father whacked and left for 2 years...the door was wide open...Malone did not have to leave...he played for one of the greatest coaches of the modern era, and one of the greatest white boys to ever play the game in Stockton...if anything Malone was simply the victim of a robbery .....Jordan stole two rings from him...Kareem played with Magic and several other studs ...he did not have to leave.

Your are however correct in your assessment that history has shown that superstars do not take paycuts to join other all time greats...which makes what Lebron, Wade, and Bosh as well as Ray Allen have done all the more remarkable...they put the TEAM first...and won 2 rings as a result...

Hahaha okay....I'm game.......And I'll take your Lakers starting five, and raise you the Cavaliers starting 5 in 2005......

I am not one to believe Lebron is better than Jordan....I also do not believe Lebron will ever reach 6 titles....in this era it simply isn't realistic... HOWEVER....I must say....Jordan is an egotistical maniacal narcissist who only chose Kobe because he knows Kobe is no threat to him....unlike Lebron who has amassed more at his age than Jordan did...thus far...all one has to do is look at the first 7-8 years of their respective careers....the numbers, the awards, are all there....it really will only come down to rings...which as I said, Jordan will win....as their is too much parity in this league now for Lebron to amass that many titles.....

Rat boy....do you have even the smallest idea about how state taxes work??
According to yet another ignorant post, you obviously do not.

But please tell me you do understand the difference between 4 & 5 years?? I mean for goodness sakes a 3 yr old even understands the difference between 4 & 5 yrs.

Dwight Howard did not take a 30M paycut simply because anyway you look @ it when that 5th yr rolls around he is going to get paid for it as well & it will likely be a max amount. Factor in state taxes CA vs TX & Howard actually didn't take a pay cut @ all.

Please tell me u understand these basic factors before embarrassing yourself even further (if that's even possible)

ps....please stop talking to yourself & post under just one handle~That's even more embassasing than your incompetence on the basics

                      Good day.
                      haha

                      POINT "A"

you failed to mention a few critical points.. the individual siperstars youmentioned were literally SURROUNDED by 'All-Star' rosters..
a superstar require the assistance of at least ONE OTHER star player.*

                      Jordan had Pippen.
                      Magic had Kareem (and vice-versa)
                      Bird had McHale/Parrish
                      Duncan had Robinson, then Parker
                      Malone had Stockton (vice-versa)

Lebron had nobody except himself.. no other All-Star.. no other player who makes the USA Olympic team.

Varejao would not make the Team USA. He Wouldn't. Period.

Lebron needed stars Bosh and Wade.*

                      POINT "B"

The paycut is a compromise to meet the previous and desired conditions of playing alongside other stars..

i never stated that taking a 'paycut' in and by itself led to Championships.. what a ridiculous inference. lol

don't put it on taxes. you were amongst the people that were certain Dwight would stay. (who could ever leave the Lakers?)

Howard is not a NASA man, he is interested in movie and television appearances.. LOS ANGELES was FIRST on his trade list

Well Kaman is there...so i assume he will become to the whipping boy...

it won't work.. i suggested same thing, but somebody in another thread mentioned a device, or program with three letters.. like 'dnv" i don't know.. but it allows a person to create a cloak and and echo IP to misdirect a trace..

Shit I make living in IT and I did not remember that...lol........its just that over at the RX forum, people have been accused of similar things...double identities, and the mods simply trace IP's to find out...sometimes it is the same person and sometimes it isn't...My work IP is a global address.as we mask our internal network...so it will not resemble the average home IP....but after 6...when I go home it will obviously be a different one..

The problem is that they are not used to people seeing the Lakers for what they are. The team has won so many championships, that it becomes difficult to see their faults....Do people not remember the 90's, the post shaq years, etc.?......This is not the first time its happened...the team must go through their rebuilding phases.....but these fans are so arrogant and spoiled, they think they are above and immune to all of that.....1988-2000....they didn't sniff one.......and that was with Jerry at the helm....so they had better get ready for another drought...with Jimmy at the wheel...

Now you use part of my reasoning as your own?!?

it is DENIAL. Plain and Simple. you will not accept that Kobe is a cancer,*
and that he will never attract a premium player.
The word is OUT on him. Dwight tied the ribbon on that box.

Dwight CANNOT call out Kobe directly as the main factor in his reasoning (until some time passes)
if he does so, he only invites more criticism, and abuse by Kobe-tards like yourself
about not being able to handle oneself.

                                            here is another guarantee.
KOBE NEVER PLAYS IN ANOTHER PLAYOFF GAME

i made this guarantee this past year, and it is true thus far.
NO CHANCE this up coming year.

only small crack of possibility is 3 yrs from now.

Condition 1: Lakers draft a very good player next year.
(very possible) Lakers are lottery team in 2013-14*

Condition 2:*that player is GREAT and attracts another.
but needs full year for other FAs to concur*

Condition 3:*Idiot Kobe is still playing, but entirely irrelevant
                                            and coming off bench.

                                                  ok. i admit it.

Upscope and myself (Ratzz) are the very same person.

I selfishly concocted this alter-ego to create controversy in my threads, where i am absolutely killing Kobe.

I was doing so with such ease and skill, that i (ratzz) felt that Kobe needed some assistance against me, so i decided
to create a Kobe-tard alter-ego (complete with a very low IQ avatar) boobs. haha

i thought the "boobies" were over-the-top (pun intended), but that it might expose (too easily) the level of Kobe-Tard sophistication,
though i did think it was good for a goof.

i never in a thousand years imagined… that it would work so well and incite others to join me.*

now all the other Kobe-tards are over it

And that tendency to force shots is why fans like Kobe, because if he makes them its "Wow what a fantastic Shot" and if he misses them its "Pau Gasol is costing us the game".......This is the reason why the Lakers have not won without a dominant rebounder who can clean up after all of Kobe bricks.....Kobe is a fool for chasing Dwight out of town as Dwight despite his injury was still close to his average in rebounds at around 12...normally a healthy is Dwight is good for about 14 per game..Laker fans say they don't need Dwight...and yet the first thing Buss does is sign Kaman....

D'antoni basketball is actually bad for Kobe because it demands the big man get down the floor to rebound a Kobe brick....Dwight nor anyone else on the laker team was in enough shape...to do that this year...And thus the 3 quarter meltdowns by Kobe during various games in the year....which he often times has to bail himself out of in the 4th quarter....
