In the words of the Boss in Cool Hand Luke, "What we have here is a failure to communicate."
I don't know why the Warriors are an underdog in this game, but whatever. We'll take our chances with them catching points against the hapless Wizards Tuesday. The Wizards players are the reason why Eddie Jordan lost his job. The incumbent coach is another bench coach from that same regime. WTF can he teach them in 48 hours that they didn't already know and what can he show them that is fresh that they could have learned in that short amount of time? Whatever.Time to go for the juggular on this one, with no points invloved. The players are the same, and the minutes are the same. The Warriors own the Wizards to the tune of 6-3 ats in the last 9 games they have hooked up. I actually watched the Wizards play and believe me when I say that they have no live bodies around the rim and offer little or no resistance around the cup. Not good when you have a wave after wave of salmon swimming upstream. If I wake up in the morning and the Warriors are still underdogs i am taking the moneyline and rocking this game that way. They will not stop shooting against an inferior opponent, trust me on that.
Alrighty then, on we move to New York, where the Cavs settle in to face the Knicks in a battle for LeBron's services. Just kidding, but New York is last in the world in defense, and we all know how LeBron likes to show out in Gotham City. The Knicks give up (get this) 107.6 points per game on average at home. No need in bothering with a side in this one as with a total of 213 and a spread of 7 for Cleveland, I am estimating that their team total will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 106.5, which falls neatly under what the Knicks give up on average anyway. Zach Randolph was their only defensive presence under the glass, and guess what folks? He is gone now, leaving David Lee to man the middle. I can't stop laughing about this one. Let me get my composure. Okay, whew! David Lee is all of 6 feet 9 inches. LeBron is 6 feet 8. Ziggy is 7 feet 3 inches tall. Oh my... I don't usually do prop bets but i can't help but take off on this one and take the Cavs team total to go over 106.5 or whatever, as they will get to the bucket with absolutely no resistance. It already doesn't help that D'Antoni is telling his team to shoot with no less than 12 seconds left on the clock a la Phoenix. Who the heck is gonna rebound with those trees from Cleveland taking up the paint? Christmas comes early boys and girls. Even the Missus is getting in on this one.
Alrighty, boys New Jersey will get it done against the Lakers as they continue to get 2007 New England Patriot sized lines in each and every game as the linesmaker is attempting to get all of that early season money back. You can arleady tell the effects of these spreads as the Lakers failed to cover against the Kings. And just look at this, the Nets are 4-2 ats in their last 6 games in Tinsletown, and have not gotten this many points (13.5) since prior to 1994 (that is as far back as my search engine could go) playing in Los Angeles. Obviously the Lakers fall into our 3 or more wins category, so we have to fade them until the linesmaker gets his back and then begins to lower their spreads in response to the public starting to fade them once everybody catches on that they are getting big stupid ass lines. We will be part of the parade, and not on the sideline spectating and ride these fading corrections until the covering adjustment comes.
Warriors+ whatever or -whatever
Cleveland Cavaliers team total to go over 106.5 (projected)
New Jersey+ a thousand points
