As mike said was referring to rash of engine issues. Plus after last week with Kyle he either dominates or dnf's in my opinionLeave a comment:

hes just talking about the engine problems they were having, not that they werent good here
kinda a running joke around hereLeave a comment:

oh i love it....every nascar fan should make it a priority to go to the night race at least 1 time...nothing like it and ive been to almost every track
my buddys dad has friends, we always have garage passes ect...
use to be even wilder when i drank and partied all the time...place is just a wild party for about 5 str8 days...the things ive seen there u wouldnt believeLeave a comment:

Used to be the toughest ticket on the circuit, bet that is a wild and rowdy time. Spent alot of summers south west of there growing up years ago.Leave a comment:

I have definitely benefitted from incorporating the practice sessions, as it is more information to utilize to paint a bigger picture of what to expect from the race. I definitely don't weigh any one variable too heavily, unless there is something obvious and undeniable.Leave a comment:

Bristol night always the funnest or one of the funnest of season....Busch and Brad should be the favorites there to win. Although it seems like Brad never gets the respect he deserves, especially in the opening odds to win. He is emerging as one of the best pure drivers in the series.Leave a comment:

yeah i dont let practice/qualifying sessions determine my picks or really sway me in any real way, just my thing though
stopped years ago...and was best thing i ever did
most stats and sessions are the most overreated thing in nascar for my cappin of races, i will look but try not to ever let it guide my plays
watching last 4-5 races, and my notebooks on track/driver, and track history almost all i useLast edited by 5mike5; 08-14-12, 10:44 AM.Leave a comment:

Nice to see the practices coming up to. Sure was helpful last week, the way Brad K dominated all aspects which translated well to race performance. Recent form has favored the Gibbs boys here for the race win, and both should be motivated and focused to get in the victory circle again.Leave a comment:

Hamlin would be hard to bet against for the win, 2 wins in 5 races and 13%+ of laps led in all 5 races. And his teamate Busch looks hungry as hell, won one in the past 5 here as well. I tend to handicap from a h2h prespective though.Leave a comment:

driver ratings and winning races are 2 very different things though
rouch hasnt won here in years, and smoke hasnt won here in over a decade
jimmy always runs well here, and 0 wins
thats why its a tough track to pick a winner (even though we did at 15-1 in race #1 here)

Definitely a track where the Rousch guys tend to do well, Biffle and Kennseth have the best driver ratings here the past 3 years. Tony Stewart has the best average finish in the past 5 races, with an impressive 5.8 never outside the top 10. Gonna be tough to call though as the Hendricks guys also do fairly well, and seem to have a real equipment edge on everyone this year.Leave a comment:

michigan is always a very hard race to handicap, fuel mileage, engine wear, ect. all in play...Leave a comment:
