Matchbook recently launched MatchbookMedia.com, a site that provides online content and opportunities to win cash by playing pick'em style pool contests. Matchbook Media will offer regular tips, podcasts, previews, videos, and all the latest at Matchbook as well as weekly contests.

This week's free contest slate:

$10,000 NFL Pick ‘Em

• Get all 15 picks from Week 1 correct and win $10,000 credited to your Matchbook account.
• The top 5 highest scoring players will receive $25 in their Matchbook Betting account. Points are awarded per correct selection.

$1,000 Handicapper Pool

• Spread a fictitious $10,000 bankroll across at least 6 point spread propositions for your chance to win a share of a $1,000 prize pool, with cash prizes credited to your Matchbook betting account.

Fine-print
1. If you already have Matchbook account, simply login with your normal username/password.
2. New users may register at Matchbook.com or Matchbook Media. Info on syncing accounts.

Our local casino used to do a 15-game pickem weekly contest and the pool would get higher if nobody won the previous weeks. I got all 15 right when I was in 3rd grade and won close to 12k

Obviously my dad had to turn in the ticket.

That is my first gambling experience
