    Round 1 Rules And Information
    • Round 1 will run from Friday to Monday.
    • You must make a minimum of 8 plays, max 10. Each pick under 8 will be a one unit penalty.
    • Lines will be posted overnight and the following morning up to 11AM EST. No further additions will be made.
    • You may not pick opposite side of your opponent on a game, so if someone has Jets -3, you can't bet the other side, but you can bet the total on that game.
    • All plays must be used from the Daily Lines thread as you know. All other rules and regulations are covered in the sign up thread.
    • Football (NFL/NCAAF), Basketball (NBA/NCAAB) sides/totals only as listed in Daily Lines thread.
    • Plays are to win one unit on a favorite, risk 1 unit on a dog.
    • Unfortunate I have to add this, but you may NOT play both sides of your own game.

When do the lines get posted??

If we can't pick the same game, there is some advantage to getting here first, Especially if someone greatly prefers a certain sport that plays most of their games on a certain day of the week.

    Ya Know what I mean.

Is there an actual bracket set up to see potential matchups?

There will be one after round one, it will have sixty-four slots and you can track your road to the finals that way. Bet Jamaica will also be offering futures odds after round one, so you can bet on yourself to win it all like rjt721 did (and WON at 65-1) last tourney!

If I don't want to wait for the line to come out, can I just say like

New York Giants -the points and then take the official line when it comes out?

I have a few philosophy picks that I want to share with SBR but I don't want to give away some of my favorite plays before I have the chance to get them in. I'll likely take the unselfish route and post them; but I'm not going to be much of a threat in the tourney giving away my best plays if I can't lock them up!

No, all plays must be made from the exact Daily Lines thread.

If a wager is a push does that count as a wager placed? I assume if you are at 7 and the 8th wager on the final day is a push you won't be penalized, but say if a wager today is a push, does that count as a wager placed or is the person back at 0?

Pushes count in the third column. i.e 1-0-1.

Can you bet both sides of the same game? Nothing in the rule book says you can't.

                                  Alright TWO questions...

                                  1. What happens if my opponent doesn't show up or post anything? I am assuming that counts as 8 losses, being that he is 8 picks short of his/her total.

                                  2. How is the winner selected? Winning percentage? Or does the juice come into play?

if my opponent picks both sides of the game

then that would be considered no action for that game right?

All plays are to win one unit so a loss on a +115 dog is -.87?

Or all - lines are to win one and all + lines are wager one?

                                        Just wondering.

How about a tie.....Hole and I may go 6-3. Do we need to pick a 10th game?
