#76not complaining because its a free contest but its kind of pointless, should have made a deposit a requirement to enter the contest and up the winnings. I guess you can always play for the year prizes which are nice payouts.

#77I never complain about any of these contests but was looking for an answer. Maybe there is a minimum amount they are paying that I don't know about. If not, you're right. I probably won't even win enough to make the minimum bet on rebatewager.Comment -

#78Hey Bob, I didn't mean it as you were complaining, was just agreeing with you that the payouts will be really low and suggested they should have made a deposit a requirement to reduce the field.Comment -

#79I did a quick estimate before last night's game was over. I disregarded all the pendings, , and there were many, so the actual results will be lower than my estimate which is about $7.70 per unit for the winners. How much lower because of the pendings is hard to say.
It's a long season. By the end you may win enough to make some plays. Just be patient and as the other have said, it's free. And it's fun.Comment -

#81I have made the estimations of the prizes for each winning score and blackie score. As the best bet counts double, everyone has 5 units in play. Assuming 320 qualifying players, 50% correct pick with no pushes and only -110 bets, the numbers are:
Blackie goes negative (50% possibility)
+5.0 $15
+2.9 $8
+0.8 $2
Blackie goes 3-2 (25% possibility)
+5.0 $18
+2.9 $10
Blackie goes 4-1 (18.75%)
+5.0 $50
Blackie goes 5-0 (6.25%)
We get zilch.
This is a rough estimation, the exact results may vary, as the group may pick over or under 50%, there are pushes, bets different than -110, etc.
All in all the prizes are rather small, looks like the format is not suited well for such $1000 weekly prizes and large number of players. As someone suggested, having a deposit requirement would decrease the field, producing better prizes.Comment -

#84I won $3.15 lol. I don't think that's enough for the minimum bet at RW. I need to cash again to get in the betting picture.Comment -

#85Blackie is not motivated. There's nothing in it for him.
But he's a smart businessman, so I'm guessing he won't want the contest to become a joke.Comment -

#86Perhaps the old BTP model would work better, where only the top 50 players get paid.Comment -

#94Just triple the prize pool or add SBR points or something, those are good solutions (good solutions = more free stuff).Comment -

#96Might as well treat this as a season long $6000 contest, and forget about the weekly prizes until the end of the season when you have maybe $50-100 accumulated...Comment -

#99In the end I'm just happy I finally cashed in one of these to stop the bleeding, 2 straight weeks I failed to cash in BTP even when the Prick is struggling because I lost my best bet both weeks...thankfully I didn't have to use Coach's strategy of betting both sides of the same game to stop the losing streakComment -

#100$3.15 free play for me as well
Maybe the remaining $15,000 or so for weekly prizes should just be used for season ending prizes or maybe only guys that beat blackie at 4-0 split the money. At least those guys would have got a $71 free play instead of sharing the prize with other guys that won't even be able to make the minimum wager with their free play.
It's a free contest and I'm going to keep playing either way. Just giving some suggestions to make it betterComment -

#104Nice. $10 for beating blackie sounds much better than $3. Will the $10 minimum prize continue for more weeks, or it is a one time special?Comment
