question about action points -- baseball contest
From what I see , action points are not computed for money line results in today's baseball contest. Is that correct? I don't see the logic of ignoring them for ML plays and using them for a tie breaker. It could be a 3 way tie with units today if Yanks cover RL.

Still waiting for the reason action points are not used for ML baseball bets. As it turned out, there was a 3-way tie on units and on the first tie-breaker. So it came down to action points, which did not include the ML plays. The wrong person won this contest, in my opinion. Actually, I was 2nd in both scenarios. The guy who was 3rd would be first if action points for ML counted.

Lou, are you around. What is the logic in using action points without using them for money line?

Action points aren't ever used for ML plays. The action points are the difference your bet beats (or loses to) the spread by. Unless it is explicitly stated and explained that ML plays will be graded based on some form of action points, they are only counted on Totals and Spreads.

ok , I thought it might be something like that. BUT should they be used as a tie-breaker in a baseball contest where more than half of the plays are money line plays?

This contest came down to this tiebreaker. "Luckily", I was 2nd either way, so I don't have to be too upset.

( and may I say that a ML is just a spread of 0, so to me action points make sense with MLs ) - no need to respond further - I understand.
