New idea for the next 256-man contest

The next 256-man tourney should be 4 person round-robin format with top two advancing until the championship round.

So basically the original 256 entrants will be split into 64 different 4-person groups. The top two from each group will advance to the next round. Then there will be 32 4-person groups, then 16, then 4, then 2, then the final four where the top two will battle in a champonship round.

The contest will last the same amount of time with half the field being eliminated every round. But the best part of this contest is that it will reward the top cappers by always being near the top of their group. The current format allows for a lucky SOB to eliminate a top-capper by going 14-0 or something crazy.

You are picking 14 games. That is enough to guarantee that someone who averages 30% winners does not suddenly go 12-2. And what happens if 3 out of 4 players in the same bracket fail to make picks?
